The Wycliffe Guest House

A welcoming and comfortable place to stay, well located for walking to the coast and central Folkestone, and with a free car park. The room we had was small but adequate, the WiFi worked well. There was a health breakfast option with fresh fruit, but otherwise no fresh fruit with other breakfast options.

Great place for our night before an early Eurotunnel. Hosts were very reassuring about the steps taken for Covid 19. Only slight criticism was parking was tight but there was a space for us in their private parking site and it’s free.

Lovely, quiet and friendly. A non slip mat in the shower could be an improvement but really nitpicking.

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable and the owners went that extra mile to make sure I was comfortable and provided me a contental breakfast which was good considering I stayed during pandemic. The Guest house has a beautiful garden which you can sit in and is close to the town centre I would highly recommend.

Lovely helpful lady absolutely lovely host, the rooms are spacious and clean. Facilities are good and great communal areas.

Finally I've found a decent guest house in Folkestone and a reasonable price. I'll be staying here again. Very clean, friendly owners. After the disappointment of all the other places, I'm relieved to finally find somewhere. And an excellent breakfast too!

Spent the night at the guest house for my half marathon the following day. The staff were very friendly and helpful. My room was a very good size, though I had a shared bathroom I was the only guest on that floor so it was pretty much all mine for the night. The only negative was it wasn't easy to find as the building looked very similar to all the surrounding buildings, perhaps a bigger or bright sign might help. Otherwise it was a great stay.

A nice old fashioned B&B. Good, friendly service. The breakfast was good. We had room 9 at the top of the house which is not on suit but has a separate bathroom across the landing but bathrobes were provided. As it was a warm day it was nice that the windows had been opened before we arrived to ensure the room was cooler. Only comments is would like to have had hairdryer in the room rather than request one but that is a minor issue. The place is a shortish walk from the seafront and only 20 minutes from the habour in Folkstone which has great bars and places to eat by the lighthouse.
