Empress Angkor Resort & Spa

The Empress Resort is a very nice facility! From cleanliness, to the comfort of the room, and the receptiveness of the staff, the Empress Resort exceeded my expectations. The onsite spa had very good massages at good prices, all while not having to leave the facility. Also, the poolside bar staff was very helpful and receptive and I spent many afternoons there enjoying the company of the staff. Samuon, a bartender at the poolside bar was especially helpful, and very courteous and professional. I would definitely go back and I have already recommended this hotel to some of my colleagues!

The staff was very friendly and helpful as well as everything very clean. Its a great resort and will stay again here.

Nice staff, good experience and clean, but bad sheet never changed for 3 days.

We booked this hotel actually thinking we were booking a hotel we had stayed in previously. Turned out we were mistaken. The grounds were nice enough, nice pool. The carpet in the hallways was very worn, dirty, old. The room was OK. Our power went out a couple of times and it seemed to be just needing to pull the key card out and put it back in the slot. Very strange. It says WiFi in room but the Internet is so weak everywhere nothing would ever open. We had better luck at bars or restaurants in town. Breakfast was included in our price, but was not good - they ran out of juice daily, never had bacon (a staple at buffets I would think), minimal fruit. The pho station was good. The Dynasty cafe/bar staff was very friendly. That was the most positive part of our stay. The bell desk was not helpful when trying to get information about possible tours or activities and were not friendly. They had no one working at a guest relations desk. English skills were the weakest I've found at any hotel I've stayed at (I know I'm in a foreign country, but they cater to may international guests). There were many tour busses coming an going and they seemed overwhelmed with taking care of those people. I couldn't rate any part of this over a 3. I would not choose to stay here again.

Compared to the Angkor Borei Spa and Resort this really is no comparison (stayed 2 nights there as well). Upside - gym and pool area good. Boxville, newly opened across the road is great to pick up some cheap food and a quick cheap beer (much cheaper than the hotel!). Downsides - so noisy, the staff and the other guests (99% Chinese) want to make sure that everyone gets up at 5am! If you don't like rock hard beds then forget it! If you jump on the bed you will break some bones! Wi-fi was virtually non - existent and TV channels would not tune in. Breakfast is a scrum at best - just full of incredibly selfish people. I had a cracking view from my balcony as well - a concrete wall! I have written 100's of hotel reviews and this is the most negatively descriptive one of the lot. Siem Reap - great - Angkor Wars - awesome.. and there are hundreds of hotels that you can chose from - so look hard and long at where to stay!

Bad pressure in showers. Insufficient hot water. Bad breakfast. No WiFi in bedrooms. No solution to problems, especially about the WiFi. No compensation or refund. Nice building but old facilities and condition. Needs renovation. Staff needs to improve the English. The manager never showed up upon our request to explain and try to give solutions. It’s the worst hotel I’ve been to in many years.

Airport pick up was prompt check in was quick room spacious love the wooden floor. Breakfast breakfast buffet needs to be replenished often specially the fruit bar

Extremely friendly hotel staff very willing to assist. Locals are great and pub street was a lot of fun at night.

We stayed st here 3nights. There are free transportation to airport,pool and spa. Though facilities are a bid old,it is okay. All staff is very friendly. Hotel is 3-4 km from downtown. But It takes 5-10m by tuktuk.
