Motel Mediteran Escondido

Great location and friendly person at the front desk. Dirty room: hair on the pillows, I think they only sweep or vacuum the floors because they were filthy when a damp paper towel was used to clean up a spill, smelled like mold in the bathroom, bed was very firm, A/C unit was extremely loud and the fan never shut off, shutters didn’t close all the way, solicited by knocks on the door, and the towels should be donated to a local car wash.

The room was very clean and comfortable it’s hard to find parking if you arrive late over than that it it very good for your money

Highly recommend this motel. Although the rooms are small, they are modern and well appointed with good looking finishing work.

The rooms are very clean and recently updated. It was a comfortable stay. It is street side so there is some traffic noise which is to be expected. The pool could be updated and patio furniture cleaned of cobwebs. But it’s a motel so for the price it’s perfectly fine. It’s close to restaurants and businesses so the location is great for that. We will return in the future so we can visit with family in the area.

Very friendly front desk staff. I'm so glad I found this "gem" -- one of the best motels I've ever visited. I'll definitely return here when I'm visiting San Diego again -- well worth the extra driving.

Not fancy but nicely updated in the not too distant past all things considered. Clean the whole way around!
