Hotel Spoettel

Hotel Spottel was in close walking distance to beautiful parks, great restaurants, and a thriving shopping area with unique stores. The hotel was very clean, the staff was terrific and extremely friendly, and the complimentary breakfast offered everyday was wonderful. It provided offerings for every palate. Transportation by taxi, bus, and train was conveniently located and very accessible. We have visited the Spottel for the last two years and will continue to do so. It has the quaint European charm that we desired situated in an area of picturesque architectural buildings and gorgeous landscaping. An additional plus was the "Elvis" festival held every year in August. He was alive and thriving for a week in this town providing lots of fun entertainment

This hotel must have borrowed some of its star from neighbouring hotels. This is an old charming building, but standard in room was like travelling back to the seventies. Bathroom, or at least what THEY call bathroom, is a joke. Its about the size and standard of a poor camping bathroom. Well actually not really a room, just a box placeed into the room. I have travelled around the world, but never ever experienced such poor facilities. Staff though, very polite and helpful, and town it self is lovly. FIND A DIFFERENT HOTEL !

Sehr angenehme gediegene Atmosphäre im Hotel. Einrichtung mit schönen Stilmöbeln passend zum Baustil dr Villa. Frühstück war gemütlich.

Accueil très sympathique. En plein centre, au calme. Chambre au style désuet mais literie confortable Petit-dejeuner buffet copieux.

This hotel was the "splurge" on our trip, and was worth it. It is a beautiful old building in a beautiful old town. The owner speaks English,but when she had trouble understanding me, or felt she wasn't able to communicate effectively, she called her adult daughter on the phone to translate. The breakfast buffet was spectacular, and the atmosphere was refined and elegant. Our room was - by European standards - large, and the bathroom was obviously the old balcony. But don't worry. This is a hotel where "quaint" and "charming ' do not not translate into cramped and rundown.
