Mayang Sari Beach Resort

Being able to see the beach from the room and walk out onto it right away. The shuttles between hotel and pool and restaurants was super helpful

One of the few resorts that is truly beachfront. Super nice beach, shallow sandy seabed that has no mud and pure clean sand and clear water, no rocks and perfect for kids and adults. Quiet most rimes and not busy/overwhelming. Literally steps from the beach and back into a very cosy room. Bigger families can book side by side sea view chalets. 24hr room service. Loads of activities both ground and sea. Simple and wonderful place.

Wish it was cheaper, food prices at the group of Nirwana resorts are pretty high. We got a car to take us about 20 minutes out from the resort area to eat authentic local food. Still better atmosphere and experience than most pricier resorts to be fair.

Our second time staying here, this time for 5 nights in a garden villa.. The whole stay here was wonderful. The garden villa was excellent, and so comfy. The air con worked well, we definitely needed it... Loved every minute. As my wife was having difficulty walking, the staff went out of the way to help us get around, especially the reception staff.. We hired a buggy for the day, and spent time in the other areas of the resort. The floating bar was one of our favourite places. The whole resort was so quiet also, and having the whole beach to ourselves was amazing. We also got looked after by the staff in all the restaurants, especially in the Deli Cafe for food and drinks. Loved the towling animals made by our room attendant. The food and drinks were excellent, although the wines were very expensive.. Great selection of cocktails.We did miss the elephants that were here 7 years ago. but we saw them at Safari Lagoi.... Hope we can return again sometime.

The location is perfect. The beach is beautiful. The food is delicious. The staff is so helpful!

Customer service was exceptional! Indonesian hospitality has always been outstanding wherever I am in Indonesia...Truly! Special shout out to the receptionists; and Agus, Aldo and Toni! There are others but unfortunately, I did not take note of their names. I like the secluded beach front (Sea View) and that Mayang Sari is not crowded at all which is fantastic because I can't stand crowded areas. This place is perfect for couples who value privacy especially. I suppose for children, it would be better for them to stay at Nirwana Gardens due to the pool presence. The food frankly could have been much better wherever we went but the best food my family and I had was SPICE Restaurant (Indian Food). Fantastic food by Chef Mohan Singh. The next best was Kelong Seafood Restaurant. I would like to take the opportunity to thank the professionals at The Resort Centre, The Beach Club and Anindya Spa.

The air-conditioning in the room wasn’t strong and it did get quite warm, especially during the day. We had to use the fan the whole time though. A cooler space would have made the stay more comfortable. Same issue at The Resort Centre as well.

Everything... The staff were so pleasant and helpful, esp as my wife had mobility issues, especially the reception staff, and the staff in the deli cafe... They loojed after us so well.. The Garden chalet was perfect.. the facilities on whole were what we expected, as this was our second time here... tge choice of restaurants is good, and the food served good quality..

The grounds and the cabins at Mayan Sari were wonderful! The grounds are very well kept. The beach was very clean. Staff is exceptionally helpful and friendly and the swimming pool area at Nirwana hotel is thoroughly enjoyable. The chef at Mayan Sari restaurant, “The Deli” made some wonderful meals.

We have been going to this hotel for more than a decade. This is the first time we felt that the food and beverage costs were very high. There was nothing on the menu that was the reasonable price. With the addition of tax and service charge to the bill it is then even higher. There is absolutely nowhere on the premises to buy healthy, reasonably priced snacks, fresh fruits, or drinks. The little store at the hotel has overpriced junk snacks. Since we always drink bottled water there, even that was expensive at the little store, at $6 a bottle. We come from Singapore which is expensive city but the cost of food and beverage at the hotel was at least double to triple the cost of Singapore. The refrigerator in the room works, but it’s not very cool.

A great place to chill out with a book. Plenty of sun lounges and hammocks available. A lovely long beach with little or no tide effect, other than some areas. A shuttle bus ride to the sister hotel (Nirwana Resort Hotel) which has a large resort style pool. That is the resort if you have kids, not the Mayang Sari. The beach front chalet was comfortable and well fitted out.

The quality of the breakfast was a 3* hotel, so don't expect too much.
