Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Magee by IHG

Property was conveniently located near restaurants and shops. Hotel met our needs but requires upkeep. For instance, elevator did not work quite right and I did not see plaque saying it had been inspected. Carpet also probably needs to be replaced. Water pressure was really good though and hotel attendant exhibited good customer service skills.

It’s a nice place and very clean. Peggy was a sweetheart.

They had a pancake maker, I have never seen one at a hotel before. I thought they only had waffle makers

Short but very nice stay. Cleanliness is outstanding - all went smoothly and breakfast had an excellent choice of foods. Super location.

Dear IHG Guest Relations, My wife and I are long-time guests of your properties, and our experience at the Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites in Magee, Mississippi, has always been nothing short of excellent. Every time we return to Magee, we are consistently impressed by the professionalism, cleanliness, and overall guest experience. That location sets the standard for what Holiday Inn should be. However, I regret to inform you that our most recent stay at the Holiday Inn International off Harborside Drive (5002 Seawall Blvd, Galveston, TX 77551) was the worst we have ever had with your brand. From the moment we checked in, it was clear that this property did not meet the IHG standard. The customer service was lacking, the condition of the facility was disappointing, and our overall experience left us feeling frustrated and frankly, disrespected as loyal guests. We booked this stay through Hotels.com, and we expected a seamless, professional experience from both Holiday Inn and the booking platform. Unfortunately, that was not the case. We are requesting that someone from IHG contact us directly to discuss and resolve this matter. If no action is taken, we will be forced to consider alternative hotel brands going forward. Everything was good except there were people who congregated outside the entrance of the hotel at 2 AM talking loud and laughing with no regards for other guests. This was only one night, and it carried on for more than an hour. Please make guests aware that they need to respect others as they would like to be respected. Even though we have this complaint, we would stay there again.

The building was very dated and the floors where leaning inwards. The floors need attention. The staff was amazing and very kind. Price was a little high for what i would expect. The king size bed was probably the most comfortable I've ever slept in

UNPROFESSIONAL is the word of the day. To start off I stay at Holiday Inn Express locations all over the South, due to traveling for work. I am a loyal IHG member and have been for quite some time. Yesterday evening I arrived at the location in Magee, MS at approximately 21:30. I was absolutely exhausted from a long day of work only to greeted at the front desk by "Mary". I stated to Mary that I had a small trailer and there were no available spots in the parking lot, so I parked along the curb, and that I was well out of the way for other patrons. She immediately rushed around the counter and stated, "I will show you where to park!". After walking outside, she made several comments about my choice of a parking spot then asked if I had a reservation and if not, I should go to the Best Western across the street. Mind you I drive a pick-up truck and was pulling a ten-foot trailer, not an 18-wheeler!!!! I told Mary I would like to stay at this location due to have making a reservation the day prior, she stated "well you are going to have to park elsewhere". I then loaded my luggage back into my truck parked across the street at Bojangles. After returning to the front desk, I asked Mary if I could please check in. She was still not having it; she began to get very verbally upset and told me I was going to be arrested for parking next to the curb. Just to be noted that it was not posted by any signage nor, was it marked as a fire lane. After listening to her rant and rave I became very confused about the situation, I mentioned to Mary that I was a police officer for eleven years (truthful statement) and suggested that she became more familiar with the legal statutes and codes in her area before she threatens to have her customers arrested for parking in an unrestricted area. Mary did not like this and raised her voice and stated "Then you try it!!!! Try it!!!!" She then handed me my room key and told me to have a good night in a very sarcastic manner. Not once was I ever agitated nor argumentative and stated to her multiple time that I did not want to argue with her. Fast forward to breakfast this morning, I was greeted by a couple who witnessed the incident, and they expressed how insane and uncalled for it was. I was so thankful I was not the only one who witnessed the outrageous and unprofessional actions of Mary. I never write reviews and understand this is quite wordy but pay attention to who is behind the desk when you check in and if it is Mary, you are better off sleeping in your car at a gas station then dealing with her.
