Candlewood Suites Washington North by IHG

Rude staff and the room was not clean. Worst part of the stay was definitely the mattress…we could not sleep and ended up leaving the hotel early because the mattress was so uncomfortable.

Staff was awesome, friendly and helpful.

Location and convenience was great. It was roomy and allowed for someone to sleep and other person to study or do other things outside of the room without disturbing someone's sleep. Great kitchen and counter facilities.

Very noisy outside our room and constant banging in early morning hours or late at night. Made sleep difficult. Bed was way to uncomfortable and needs replaced with better and newer mattresses. Staff--not very considerate or kind, and maintenance man banged on our door without cause or reason, trying to say he needed to check the room and he searched the whole room, without my husband's permission, even though my husband told him we did not call maintenance or say there was a problem with the window. My husband was very annoyed and disturbed by this burly man, banging on the door and demanding entrance into our hotel room, even without his permission. Very unprofessional!!!!

We booked based on the directional in the description that it was walkable to a nearby attraction. I guess technically anything is walkable if you’re open to a long distance. But alas it was not as close as indicated. It’s also behind another hotel on a dead end road next to the highway. Hotel was quiet and the room was sufficient. Nice to have a kitchen that did come in handy.
