Sleep Inn & Suites Gonzales near Palmetto State Park

I was really impressed by this hotel. It was very nice and at a decent price. It was definitely a pleasant surprise because when you book online, you don't always get what you think your getting. Friendly staff, clean hotel, good hot and cold breakfast, and clean swimming pool are all very welcoming.

Very comfortable and quiet. I enjoy staying here just wish the pool was open.

Enjoyed my stay. Gave it 4 out of 5 overall because coffee was not very hot nor were the eggs at breakfast at 6:30 a.m., the beginning of breakfast that morning.

Liked location and staff .. disliked cracked tiles in bath

Didn’t have the room I reserved upon arrival check-in, clerk lied and told me Expedia does not transmit room details of reservation and that’s why they didn’t have the right room. This property is dated (old) and my A/C sounded like it had a bucket of bolts inside, very noisy, when I called down to desk to advise them clerk said she could have someone look at it in the morning, otherwise there was nothing else she could do for me...despite planning to stay a week I didn’t leave out the next morning.. I RAN out. Based on my experience any other property in Gonzales would be a better choice to stay!

The hot water in our room barley got warm. It was not comfortable. When I called about it she said that some of the rooms do that. I remember when this hotel was new. It’s definitely showing signs of age.

All the sign lights and porte cache lights were out on the outside when we arrived around 9 pm. It literally looked shut down. We had to ring the bell to get someone to come to the empty lobby, which was also dark except for the light by the entrance. We went down for breakfast at 9:30 to be told the waffle machine was being turned off. We were told breakfast was from 6-10am...

Loved the facilities and rooms. Everything was clean. Only issue I had was the elevator had some major issues and tried to not let me out at one point. Maintenance was trying to resolve the issue when I departed.
