Room was what we expected. Small, clean and comfortable which was what we wanted. Nice surprise was the table outside to enjoy a morning coffee. Only stayed 2 nights and spent most of our time exploring the area and kayaking.

Die Lage ist genial um Kalkbay genießen zu können. Das Chartfield Team ist sehr zuvorkommend und vermittelt das Gefühl, dass man zu Hause ist, obwohl im Urlaub. Alle Eineichtungen des Haupthauses können mit genutzt werden. Von der Veranda hat man herrlichsten Ausblick über die Falsebay.

Das Budget Zimmer ist super für 1 Person, für 2 wird es eng. Ein Berich, unter freiem Himmel mit 2 Stühlen und Tisch, sogar Küchenzeile und Kühlschrank ist perfekt für ein schnelles Frühstück und den Absacker am Abend, jedoch nicht nutzbar wenn es regnet oder es zu kalt ist. Leider keine Views.

The eyrie is an excellent self-catering guesthouse on the chartfield property. Has everything you need, is large and spacious, and feels private. Definitely worth the trip. The staff went above and beyond to help us with whatever we needed.

Most of what we disliked are things beyond the guesthouse’s control or we knew going in. Be aware that finding parking near the guesthouse isn’t always easy, especially during summer. The train is a regular source of noise which needs to be considered if you have young kids. We got complimentary breakfast on Christmas Day, which we appreciated, but think portion sizes are a bit wee for price if we had been paying.
