felt private, stunning garden and beautiful atmosphere within the Lodge, really comfy bed, lovely cool room (it was 27 degrees outside when we stayed) door opened straight from our room into the garden, great location, lovely staff,

the dining area was a bit tight for space for breakfast, but the food etc was beautiful. would have liked some water in the room

The room was lovely and spacious, with a fine sized bed each and plenty of storage space. The bathroom was also lovely and spacious with a nice walk in shower.

There was a huge crack in the sink in the bathroom, which looks awful. The door handle was hanging off the inside of the room and the woodwork all needs a spruce up as it is chipped and damaged in many places. Also the sockets on the wall do not work and the bedside lamp does not work either. When we went down for breakfast I was disappointed to find no options available for milk, only whole milk provided. The cooked breakfast was okay and there was a good selection of cold meats and cheeses, fruit and yoghurt. Some light butter and milk for calorie conscious guests would be a good idea. For the price we paid, €200 for one night including breakfast, I would have expected a little higher standard in the appearance of the room.

Beautiful, charming lodge house. Received a warm friendly welcome from the reception staff. Although the hotel is set back off a main road traffic noise is not intrusive. Our room was clean, spacious, with adequate storage space and a comfortable, cosy, bed. Although we travelled to the hotel by taxi from the airport, the hotel has ample free parking out front for those who drove. The hotel itself is located on the outskirts of Cork, but there is a very handy, regular local bus service giving easy access into the centre of Cork on the hotel’s doorstep. Recommend you get a Leap card for use on the bus. The breakfast is incredible! Cereal, selection of fruits, creamy natural Greek yoghurt, selection of cold meats and chesses and their full Irish was extremely good. The dining room ladies were extremely courteous, friendly, chatty, and certainly looked after us during our stay.

Found the clothes storage was at a premium - especially wardrobe space, not enough for two overseas travellers.
