The only positive was little 8 inch fan that they provided upon our request. And the staff at the front desk were nice. They did the best they could.

Room #8 smelled like the wok in a Chinese restaurant, which actually was located one floor down. The chimney from the restaurant was right next to our window. The window had to be left open because there was no air conditioning. No elevator, so NOT handicap friendly. The carpet on the stairway was extremely dirty. The room was sparse, no complimentary items (tissues/shampoo/soap). Felt unclean, needed a lot more work. Parking was an issue--there were no spaces available and it's on a steep slope. Not worth the $$. Felt like a 1 star motel. We passed on the breakfast that was included because we felt ill from smelling Chinese food grease trap all night long. Room #4 was complaining the employees were smoking outside their window. Cobh is a definite no for us in the future. Pretty to look at while driving through, but don't waste your money.

Location was walkable to the waterfront.

Wish bathroom had table or an area to put your stuff

We had a very large room on the top floor with an incredible view. The staff did all they could to make our stay enjoyable!

An amazing view of the cathedral and water! Staff was very kind and helpful.

The beds were not very comfortable and were quite hard.

Room wasn’t clean lack of attention to detail

Nice hotel when we got there we had a double room booked but they upgraded us to a 1 bed apartment. I dont drive but if you do there is free parking onsite.

No negatives towards the hotel. Only thing i didnt like was the big big hill i had to climb to get to the hotel but that was my fault not looking into where it was so next time if im staying i will know to get taxi

The room was filled with cigarette smoke drifting in from people smoking near the window during their breaks. They were also very noisy, so we asked reception to kindly request that they smoke elsewhere and keep the noise to a minimum.

Myself and my husband booked a self-catering accommodation with Bella Vista for a 4 night stay and availed of the breakfast at the hotel each morning. On our arrival we were greeted and checked in by Vincent who was extremely efficient and helpful to the point of carrying our luggage to our top floor Apartment. [A point to be noted there appears to be little or no elevators in any Cobh property] ! The views from the top floor Suite/Apartment (No.9) were magnificent coupled with hearing the wonderful carillon bells from St Colman's Cathedral. The Apartment itself was very clean and spacious with the added bonus of peace and quiet lending to a great nights sleep. There is a nice cosy bar on the groundfloor of the Hotel building (which is a different building to the Apartment block). Alexis who also fronts the Reception Desk is extremely friendly and helpful with a great knowledge of points of interest in Cobh and its surrounds. He also managed to rectify a few small issues in the our Apartment with great speed and efficiency. We were happy with the breakfast menu and the Lady server is also very friendly and helpful. Our stay would have qualified for a 5 star rating but for the following small matters. 1. No walk-in shower in bathroom (the shower is over the bath) 2.The bathroom could definitely do with a small unit or chair to facilitate toiletries. 3.The television (my husband found) not at all user-friendly including the lack of British channels. 4.The Apartment could be much better server with a full length mirror....... We would most definitely stay at the Bella Vista again primarily due to the wonderful staff.
