Manque d'équipements dans l'appartement familiale ( étendoir, porte manteau, assiettes, meuble dans la salle de bain etc...) ce n'est pas la place qui manque pourtant. De plus, le chauffage fonctionnait par intermittence. Nous avions froid.

Outstanding location. Very friendly and helpful reception staff throughout our stay. Very large room with sea view, small table and two chairs. Large comfortable bed.

I was under the impression that I had booked a self catering apartment - I think this was due to lack of clarity by Booking.com. The room I had was large enough to relax and write in, and also to eat in, although there were no facilities for the latter. My main concern relates to housekeeping. This is by no means a budget hotel (twice the price of others we stayed in during eight days in Ireland) but the standard of housekeeping was the lowest of any hotel in our stay. The room was clearly not cleaned each day (of our four day stay), the dirty tea cups were not replaced, and we had to ask for tea bags each day. The towels were not replaced or even hung on the towel rail. There was a tiny sliver of soap and an equally small pot of shower gel. I would expect a hotel at this price point to have robes in the room and information about ecological management of towels. I'd also expect a well stocked tray of complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits. Similar hotels frequently have Nespresso machines in the room. The bed was "made" each day in so far as the duvet was pulled straight, but there was no evidence of the sheets having been straightened. In mitigation, after I had piled the towels in a heap on the floor in the middle of the room, with the dirty cups on top on day 3, all were changed, the bed made and the floor cleaned. The reception staff were incredibly helpful but seemed unable to understand housekeeping issues. This hotel has massive potential due to the old building and location, but at the moment I think it is seriously overpriced for the quality of service it offers. I think that our room should have been priced at a maximum of £150, possibly less because of the poor housekeeping. It was not worth £200 a night and at this price I can not recommend it.

Very lovely experience, top staff. So friendly and I had a huge room with a view over the cathedral and the sea ! It’s a 2 minute walk from the promenade area . Loved my stay.

view from the room was ok, the bar staff and reception staff were very accommodating and very sociable. had food in the restaurant one night and it was tasty except for the beef black bean sauce was lovely but tasted like roast beef cut up and thrown in the sauce

blinds did not close in the room and there were no curtains. fan in the bathroom was extremely loud. none of the wall light fittings worked which meant you either had no lights or all lights on. whoever was over our room sounded like a heard of elephants and the floor boards were very creaky sounded like whoever was above us was going to come through the ceiling. Buffet breakfast very poor choice, cooked breakfast cheap ingredients not very nice

There's nothing I like all bad

I would like to share my feedback regarding my recent stay at your hotel, which unfortunately did not meet expectations: - During the night, there was constant noise in the hallways, with guests speaking loudly and showing little consideration for others, especially in the early morning hours (around 4:00–5:00 AM). This significantly affected the quality of sleep. - I experienced an eye irritation/allergic reaction, likely caused by the smell of the pillow, which raises concerns about cleanliness and bedding quality. - Bathroom amenities were insufficient. There was no shower gel available, and only one towel was provided for my wife and me. Our daughter was not provided with a towel at all. - The room was excessively bright due to outside light entering, and there were no proper blackout curtains or adequate means to block the light, making it difficult to rest. Overall, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I have had. I hope you take this feedback seriously and make the necessary improvements. Thank you.
