View from the room was inspiring. The group meal was excellent.

Lots of noise from other rooms due to thin walls, uncomfortable bed.

The Hotel room was clean tidy warm had a stunning view over the Forth, it also had a small balcony which is good if you smoke, the bed was very comfortable the ensuite was clean and comes with complimentary soap, shower gel and shampoo and there are plenty of towels, the staff were very helpful and friendly, no complaints at all, we will be staying again

We booked in on 25/10/2025 at 5.10pm. Receptionist Vish then booked us in for dinner 6.30pm. Great job done so far. Then it all went rather wrong. When we we went for dinner Vish the Receptionist/waiter/bartender informed us that the menu for the Indian dishes were either lamb or vegtable as there was no chicken left . Therefore I opted for vegetable bhuna and my husband chose the scampi and chips. The meals came "vegetable curry" consisted of peas , 2 baby carrots and 2 small pieces of cauliflower ! Husbands "Scampi" at £17 BTW was 8 scampi bites and when asked about tartar sauce got given 2 sachets . Now this supposed to the restaurant of the hotel ? So sitting at our meal and a party of 4 people arrived and proceeded to order 4 chicken curries !! When I enquired about this Vish rather disrespectfully stated "sorry love there wasn't any chicken when you sat down" I will spare you the rest of this saga, but long story short this so called Talll Trees restaurant part of the hotel, kitchen was getting supplied by the owners Indian restaurant and food was getting a quick reheat and served .Oh and the bill well that was on just eat receipt. My advice avoid as the whole experience was bad 👎

View was amazing with a balcony overlooking bay and city of Edinburgh, hotel a little old fashioned but very clean and staff couldn't do enough to help us. Fab indian food buffet for dinner.

I loved the balcony view. I will admit: it took me several attempts to get the balcony door open to actually enjoy the balcony itself, but I was determined to sit with my cup of tea out there and watch the water.
