Quiet Peaceful surroundings Well equipped

Tent a bit noisy but not an issue

After half an hour driving on a very basic dirt road inside Pongola Game reserve (R 25 admittance) you will find a number of well equipped 2 bedroom safari tents with a large veranda and wide views into the fields. You will see birds and animals (like nyala) right from your chair. Although the booking confirmation said No internet, there was excellent Wifi in the tent and also 4G reception. Safari's can be organized, e.g R 520 for a 3 hours afternoon drive or R 540 for a boat cruise.

What should have been mentioned: the hot tub present outside each tent is advertised explicitly, but this requires you to buy fire wood and warm the hot tub yourself for a few hours. I think the expectation of guests is that this is included and also arranged (e.g. after giving a preferred time). Also they advise not to drink water from the tap in which case a pretty expensive place like this should provide a bottle of drinking water per night per person. But they do not, and you have to buy that (or cook the water which turned out to be working).

Top locatie midden in het park. Jacuzzi is echt een leuke toevoeging.

The location was great.

The gas geyser did not work properly

The staff were super friendly and the accommodation was clean !

Could of used a cleaning service in the morning to help with dishes from the night before
