"Great room, but the rest of the experience did not live up to expectations."

Kitchen was not great. Food / coffee was cold on more than one occasion. Once the whole meal, which included salad leaves was heated in the micro - Very unprofessional for a 5-star facility. A facility like this could also do with some quality wine glasses, especially in the executive room. The beach is too far to really enjoy. Game reserve is also quite small.

"Luxury and view to remember"

Exceptional view of the Indian Ocean from the lodge. Suite very spacious, comfortable, private and ocean views from shower, bedroom and deck. Imaginative cuisine.

"Stunning views and opulent rooms but disappointing food"

Oceana has the perfect location for sea and bush lovers. We had exceptional views of the sea and some wildlife grazing from our room. The rooms are opulent and spacious. The staff are amazingly friendly and helpful. The office staff always went an extra mile, and even printed personal documents for me upon request. The ranger, Desmond, was quite well-informed and kept us entertained during the game drive.

The food wasn’t great at all. At breakfast time the sausage was under-cooked and the omelette too dry. Even though there is a 3 course menu for dinner, the portion sizes are just too small. We also had a problem with housekeeping not cleaning our room until we asked at 15:30 on the second day. The games room also doesn’t have a variety in games.

In summary amazing. Have stayed at some great hotels in the past, but this is one of the best. Great staff, food, service, rooms.... and the added bonus of game drives. Would highly recommend

Es ist ein hervorragendes Ressort mit täglich zwei Game Drives (es gibt hier nicht die Big 5!). Der Fokus liegt auf Luxus und Entspannung, nicht unbedingt auf Tieren, wobei es davon natürlich auch genug gibt ( Giraffen, Zebras, Gnus, Affen, Antilopen...) Das Personal kümmert sich um alles, ist immer aufmerksam und flexibel. Das Essen ist sehr gut ( 3 Mahlzeiten am Tag sind fast schon zu viel), es gibt auch die Möglichkeit am traumhaften und einsamen Strand zu lunchen, einfach hervorragend. Natürlich ist der Preis sehr stolz, aber es lohnt sich, da wirklich alle Game Drives, Mahlzeiten, Getränke etc. Enthalten sind - zu empfehlen ist die Premium Suite mit phantastischem Blick und sehr schöner Einrichtung
