staff very friendly.the restaurant is closed so no breakfast, I would happily stay there again

the room was clean, but the cooking odours where a little overpowering, I liked the fact that I could cook in my room, however the exhaust did not work and that ment more smell. so I did not cook.

"cheap hotel but don't expect quality"

6.0

Cheap price, allowed us access to our room earlier than check in time.accrss to carpark from hotel.

Restaurant closed, bedside light inoperable, tv remote battery flat, tv didn't get channel 7, toilet roll holder kept falling off wall. Someone's underwear was left on floor under the armchair. Reception closed when we left so unable to tell them this in person

"Worst stay I ever had"

1.0

The cleaners were really good. And very kind and helpful.

Very Disappointing Stay – Beware of Parking Issues and Poor Customer Service We stayed at Mercure Melbourne Therry Street from 2–7 June 2026 and unfortunately had one of the worst hotel experiences we have ever had. Upon arrival, we contacted reception to ask where we could park. We were directed to a location in the CBD Car Park on Level 4. To avoid any misunderstanding, we even showed reception a photo of the exact area before parking there. We were told it was okay to park. Some spaces had "Private Property" signage, while others did not, and based on the information provided by reception, we parked there. We parked in the same location for four days without issue. On the final night of our stay, our vehicle was suddenly towed. Had we not gone downstairs that evening, we would not have discovered this until the morning of our flight. We had an early flight and medical appointments for our special needs daughter, and there was a real possibility we could have missed them. When we raised the issue, management denied that the area was hotel parking and claimed the signage was only for access to the hotel lift. This directly contradicted what reception had told us on arrival. Instead of taking responsibility or attempting to resolve the situation, we felt we were met with denial, conflicting explanations, and a complete lack of professionalism. To make matters worse, recovering our vehicle cost approximately $670. We were also refused contact details for higher management and had to locate them ourselves online. Another guest was experiencing the same issue at the same time, which suggests this may not be an isolated incident. The behaviour we experienced was extremely concerning. A man on the premises, who staff indicated worked there, told us to stop making a scene and go back to our room or the police would be called. At one point we were also spoken to in a manner that was completely unacceptable and unprofessional.

"Useful for our needs. Above comments need to be addressed for future stays."

7.0

Location, security

We could clearly hear the occupants above us walking around on very squeaky floors over 5 nights, until late at night. The range hood light did not work even after the staff had been told early on. Lack of towel rails in bathroom. Lack of dishwashing equipment ie no scrubbing brush, only cloth for cleaning dishes and pot/pan. Lack of cork screw, other useful kitchen utensils. No drain tray/ dish rack.
