Wonderful experience and amazing food and location. Room needed some maintenance with some of the fixtures showing their age and are falling apart. Would come back again.

Beautiful resort nestled into established manicured gardens

We stayed in a magnificent lakeside room which was most comfortable, serenely quiet and beautifully appointed. The restaurant was delightful overlooking the lake and we enjoyed breakfast and dinner there during our stay.

Our stay at Cape Lodge was amazing. The staff and service was the best we have experienced and we were lucky to receive an upgraded room which was a lovely surprise. We had dinner in the restaurant and fully cooked breakfasts the next morning and the food could not be faulted, all set within beautiful surroundings in a beautiful part of the South West. We were delighted with our stay and look forward to returning again soon.

Whilst the lodge looks picture perfect and is surrounded by beautiful gardens, bush and vineyards we were disappointed with what we got for the price we paid for our room. There was dust and dirt on the floor in the corner of the bathroom; there was a stain on the bed linen; the paint on the door frame of the toilet was chipped in many places - the lack of maintenance and cleanliness is not expected for a luxury hotel. The buffet breakfast and a la carte menu for hot items was excellent, however the main lady who serves you in the morning was rude and prioritised other guests to be seated first despite the fact that we were already waiting for 10min. Good location as there are many wineries nearby and its an easy drive to Cape Leeuwin and the Lake Cave. it seems like a lot of the accommodation in Margaret river is dated so Cape Lodge may still be a step up from accommodation nearby.

Beautiful setting. Some of the mini bar is complimentary which is great. Dinner at the restaurant can be expensive (~$250 for 2 people) but the food was delicious.

Nice hotel, comfortable beds, but no bath despite tons of room for one. Hot water took ages to come through. Friendly staff, but restaurant was an expensive let down , and not worth the price
