Anna Traditional Apartments

Good location for where I needed to get to for work. The manager and his wife on site were both very friendly and helpful. They showed concern for my welfare and said to call if I needed anything.

Nothing-it was exactly as expected.

My partner and I have recently spent a week in Santorini. We spent two nights staying at Anna Apartments, one at the beginning and one at the end of the week (we had booked 5 nights and decided to extend but wanted to keep costs low). We had an extremely pleasant stay at this venue, Ilyos was incredibly welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us and the room itself was lovely, clean and comfortable. We arrived late in the evening (around 23:00), however, Ilyos was still quick to greet us, show us to our room and explained everything to us. He didn’t seem to mind that we were only there for that night and even offered to take us to our other hotel the next morning. When we arrived at our next hotel, he told us to contact him on the morning of our last night and that he would collect us and take us back to Anna Apartments, which he did. No hesitation or fuss, he genuinely seemed more than happy to do this and arrived within 10 minutes of our call. We were not due to check in until 15:00, however, as we had checked out of our other hotel at 11:00, he collected us and allowed us straight into our room upon our arrival very soon after (I am mindful that it was not peak season and likely only due to the room already being available, however, a very kind gesture nonetheless). We had requested in advance to check out late on our final day, however, the room was booked and this was not possible. However, this was not an issue. Ilyos allowed us to leave our bags in his office and even offered to drop us off at Kamari, directed us to the bus stop and told us to call him when we got back to Kamari and he would once again collect us (we did not take him up on this offer as it was a rather nice day and Kamari is only a 30-40 minute walk away, however, again a nice gesture).

The only slight downside to the location of this venue is that it is quite out of the way from main towns (such as Fira, Akrotiri and Oia). Public transport doesn’t seem to stop anywhere closer than Kamari and all transport connections go via Fira. The buses do not operate strictly on time and can be infrequent (around once per hour) and the fares were not as we had seen online (most were stated to be around €1.80 but were in fact around €2.20, not the biggest issue, however, something to be mindful of - as well as the fact they are cash only). If staying at this location, you would greatly benefit from hiring a car (which is fairly cheap) as public transport is unreliable and taxis are expensive!! Ilyos was incredibly accommodating in his willingness to pick us up and drop us off places, however, had we stayed here the whole week, we would never have relied on this goodwill and would have opted to hire a car for the whole week (our other hotel had slightly better connections transport-wise).

Perfect when you have a late flight in or early flight out. The staff are so lovely and offer collection and pick up to the airport which is so handy.

Everything was wonderful! Huge thanks for the warm welcome. We especially appreciated being picked up at the airport and getting a free transfer to the hotel — it was such a thoughtful gesture after a long journey. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and attentive. We would definitely stay here again!
