We return to this place again and again. One of the best locations on the island, deserted beautiful safe beach within walking distance, breathtaking views from the balcony, perfectly furnished hotel rooms, incredibly polite and hospitable staff - we really couldn't ask for more. And yes, we will definitely come back here again :)

Absolutely nothing

Very quiet and nice staff, aleays helpfull. We were leaving early morning on our departure day and they prepared breakfast baskets for us. Hotel is a little bit up hill but benefit is the view and quiet. Room was simple, spacious and clean, everything we needed.

There was bothing to dislike

1. The location of the hotel could not have been better. It's a lovely view from the hotel as well as of the hotel from the beach but property faces north and neither Sunset not Sunrise is visible from the hotel. The Sunset is not visible from the beach opposite to the hotel directly over the water but the sunsets down the hill on the far side of the beach is lovely as well. 2. Kitchen is well equipped. 3. The hotel extends the check-out hour, if rooms are available at Euro 5 per hour. As the room we stayed in was not available, we were given a different room for the late check-out when the hotel could have easily refused us that favour. 4. The staff try to do everything to make your stay better.

1. The hotel is located on a hill so there's a lot of walking to be done, up and down the room to the reception then to the beach/restaurant down below by the road. The walk is pleasant in the evenings but not when the Sun is high in the sky and you have your luggage to carry. 2. Which brings me to the second point that the hotel has a policy of 'tip' of SCR 25 per luggage if the hotel staff carries it and the weight of the luggage has to be below 23 kilos for the safety of the staff carrying it. None of this is transparently explained during check-in. So, unless you ask for help with the luggage none will be offered. 2. We had booked a 'Superior room' for 2 adults and a 4 year old child and were given a room with twin beds put next to each other. The hotel tried It's best to remedy the situation by offering a 'better' room with a 'prince' sized bed for no extra charge. We eventually stayed in the same superior room with an extra bed put in(for no extra charge) 3. The room we stayed in was very close to the 'due-for-fumigation' date. 4. There are no fans in the buffet breakfast area. During the summer months it does get uncomfortable.

Very nice location in mountain with most beautiful seawiev. We stayed for two nights only but wished we had had more days to allow for hiking. Beach very close by.

A very pleasant experience. Staff and people were really friendly and the surroundings were really serene.

Stayed a night and wished we could stay longer. Hotel is on a hilltop and quite a trek. Only for able bodied people as reception is a steep walk up two floors easily. The rooms are another 2 flights up. But the view is everything. Its true island style accommodation with all the necessary amenities including hot water. Fresh breakfast spread with eggs, cold cuts and fruits. Pancakes were incredible and coffee with the view makes for a great start to the day. Lunch and dinner are served in a restaurant called Gaulette. We highly recommend the "Catch of the Day" and the prawn curry with rice is to die for. Charles the attendant at the reception made check-in easy and his service throughout was very prompt. The pictures and reviews do not do the place justice. You have to live there to experience it. The sit out area is comfortable, overlooking the beach and you can sip on local beer Seybrew while taking in the view. Overall the stay was memorable for the extraordinary view of the Lazare beach that is 5 mins walk from the hotel.

There was nothing not to like at all.

That's definitely the best place you can find on the southern part of Mahe (or maybe on the whole Seychelles)! We came there for the second time and again left with the mindset of coming back.
