I stayed at the Hotel Carlton many times, but years ago so my wife and I were excited to stay there again. I booked a ‘Superior’ room based on the photos on the booking.com site, but the room we were given looked nothing like any of the photos. I questioned this with the front desk only to be told that the photos on the booking.com site were only ‘Indicative’ and we should has specifically asked for a room that looked like one on the website. This the first time I have ever heard that I expected to ask for a room that looks like the 2nd or 3rd photo on the booking.com website. The front desk staff were apologetic and gave me a voucher for two glasses of wine as recompense. In what circumstances is this acceptable? The photos showed coffee makers, our room had instant coffee and a kettle. The photos showed bathrooms with double sinks, ours had a single sink, with plastic glasses, and poor quality shower/bodywash, along with a strangely configured shower which you had to stand right next to the wall to use so as not to flood the bathroom. I don’t blame the hotel staff as clearly they are compromised by what they have to offer their guests. And finally. How can a 4 star hotel only have one red wine (Merlot) available in their bar?

Great location right next to the train station. Good facilities, great breakfast. Rooms are very generous and lots of space.

Fantastic location very close to the train station and bus station. Only a short trip from the airport. The hotel was lovely an clean and the staff were very accommodating

Nothing to dislike

Very friendly staff. Location is ideal for leaving a car and doing Treviso on foot. Room was spacious and we were able to get a front balcony which was lovely. The hotel is built on the city wall and adjacent to one of the origina town gates. So if that is your interest, be sure to look / walk around.
