Air-conditioning issues due to short power outages

Location was nice on the waterfront. Food was average.

We asked hotel to arrange for taxis from airport to hotel and hotel to port Civitavecchia. The taxi that took us from airport to hotel was dirty and ramshackle, no value for money. The taxi that took us from hotel to port next day was supposed to pick us up by 12.00 and cost € 60. Hotel asked if we would mind leaving earlier and sharing the car with other couple. It would save the driver a lot of time. We agreed and left at 10.30. At the port the taxi driver insisted on receiving € 120 and became very aggressive. The driver was a regular contact of the hotel. The trip the day before was subcontracted by him to a friend. We blame the hotel for misleading us as regards the fare and for doing business with a mafioso like that.

The location is just across the ocean but we were given a room that has no view of the ocean. We expect to get a room with a view for the price that we paid.

There were bugs and flying insects in the room. Breakfast was not as good as compared to other hotels that we stayed with the same price. The bedroom and the living room have no outlets to charge our phones.

Nothing as we didn't stay in the end and had to find somewhere clean.

The cleanliness standards were abysmal (stained sheets, dirty bathroom) hotel looks like it hasn't been renovated in 30 years, poor standard of finish of decor, misleading about size of rooms and restaurant, not good with allergens.

Waterfront location, parking. Manager was accommodating given our disappointment.

At the time we arrived there was a swarming infestation of flying midges. Our balcony was covered in thousands so we could not use the exterior or enjoy the beach. Rooms are quite dated and worn. Hallways rundown.
