Hotel Continental

The location is great. We enjoyed the scale since it is not a huge hotel.

We thought the breakfast buffet was a bit basic but it worked OK.

Terrible service from Hotel Continental, Saint Magherita a totally uncompassionate hotel. My husband and I were due to travel this weekend in memory of my sister-in-law who was due to visit the same hotel last year and couldn't as she was in her last two weeks of life. Due to circumstances totally beyond our control on Monday we asked if me could reschedule our booking but they insisted they could not change it as per their terms of two weeks notification and cancelled our booking us, losing our deposit, flights and car hire. We requested if someone else could travel in our place but this was also not permitted. Even the manager would not consider the exceptional service and the money lost last year by my late sister-in-law and now us. For a Hotel like this it is terrible that they do not consider exceptional circumstances, such as someone in last stages of life (we were caring for her in the last two weeks of her life and this was not our priority) or circumstances beyond peoples control. We run businesses ourself and certainatly would not be so uncompassionate, thoughtless and uncaring. Shame on you Hotel Continental. We certainly will not visit again and will make sure other travellers are aware of the hotels unsympathetic terms!

This property is absolutely beautiful. The grounds are beautifully landscaped with different trails down to the water. There are several places to layout if the weather is good we also enjoyed the downstairs bar by the water for cocktails. The staff was amazing big shout out to Antonio. He always gave us the best service and always had a smile on his face! We also use the spa and got massages that were fabulous. The spa was very relaxing. We use both the steam room and sauna as well as swam in the pools. We had a room facing the water with a beautiful balcony. We hope to come back again!!

I had a wonderful stay in a Hotel Continental. First - the location - the best in the whole Santa Margherita Ligure and at first I thought, this was something that was hard to beat. Yet, it was surpassed by the incredible service and overall experience created by the hotel staff. Everyone was really warm, professional attentive and genuinely kind. A very special thank you to Antonio who went beyond my expectations, he made me feel looked after from the very first moment, remembered every detail and brought such warmth and care that it felt almost like being welcomed by family member. People like him are what make a hotel truly unforgettable! Because a hotel is not only about looks - it is also about how it makes you feel. And Hotel Continental made me feel relaxed, welcomed and already wanting to come back again. Grazzie Hotel Continental, Antonio and the team.
