Hotel Minerva

I felt as though I was visiting the home of a friend. Everyone there was friendly and helpful.

Couldn't fault it. Although only a 3 star rating, much better than many 4 star hotels.Suit couples looking for a quiet holida. Would certainly stay again

Excellent Hotel which is located in a quiet part at the back of the town but only 5-10 mins walk to the harbour and the centre of town. We had a standard room on the 4th floor which was quite large enough and with a small balcony (ok just about to sit on but not if you suffer from vertigo) with nice views. The hotel provided us on request and at no charge a kettle/cups/teas which were replenished daily which was nice to have. Breakfasts were superb with a wide range to choose from including scrambled and fried eggs and bacon, sometimes pancakes. However, what really makes this hotel is the staff who without exception were terrific, so polite and friendly.

Great breakfasts, including real espresso, if you asked for it. Pretty garden to eat in. Rooftop a bonus. Staff very helpful. Fantastic location. Carpark.

I picked the perfect hotel in this lovely town. It is tucked away so it is very quiet, but still near the town center. The breakfast buffet was wonderful. I'll be back.

Our experience at Hotel Minerva was a good one and we would definitely return. The hotel staff was very nice and helpful. They had a secure garage for our car so that we didn't have to worry about it being broken into. The area is very safe and quiet. The hotel is really cute and clean. They serve a very big continental breakfast and will even make you eggs fresh if you want them. I'm gluten-free and they had gluten-free food items available with breakfast along with rice and soy milks for those who are dairy-free. They offered some sort of spa type service, but it wasn't really explained to us so I can't comment on it. We have a lovely balcony overlooking the sea and coastline. The shower is a bit narrow and tight, but we made it work. Otherwise, it was a great place to stay.

Our room was beautiful at Hotel Minerva. We had a room with a balcony & a gorgeous view. The hotel staff were always courteous & friendly. Breakfast was served every morning & was delicious. The hotel location is walking distance to many restaurants, the marina, & shopping.

Portofino is absolutely picturesque with a walkway along the shore. The hotel Minerva was in easy walking distance of the central location but a bit hard to find because it is sited in the middle of the block and a GPS can't quite swing good directions for that. (A good hint is to look up for the arrows pointing in the direction of the hotel.) It's a bit funky in a very good way with 50'collages papering the walls. It was impeccably clean and the staff helpful with enough English to get us through our stay.
