Hotel La Bussola

Very central location in Amalfi, a few minutes from the town center. The walk around the hotel is flat and not as steep as other hotels in the area. Large and luxurious rooms, very clean and with a balcony with an amazing view of Amalfi. There is a parking lot at the hotel which is really convenient. Breakfast it is quite basic but overall nice. The hotel staff was really nice and the hotel is charming in its beauty

The price is not cheap , the parking also is pretty expensive but overall the is value for money

We loved our stay at hotel la bussola! the location is amazing, 5 min walk from the bus stop and the ferry terminal as well as from the main plaza with the duomo. it is on the ground level so it was a huge plus that we did not have to traverse flights of stairs to get to the doorway of the hotel. The rooms were a good size for 2 people and the tiles on the floor and in the bathroom were charming. The housekeeping kept our space very clean. Because it is right on the street, if you keep the balcony door open, you hear all of the noise from the road and the sidewalk. however, the door/window does a fantastic job of soundproofing and with every closed, you could not hear any of the noise. The included breakfast was delicious and very filling. Such great baked goods! We also ate at the restaurant in the hotel for dinner most of the nights of our stay as the food was also very delicious, came out pretty quickly. The staff were very friendly and attentive and it was always a pleasure to see Flor and Andrea at breakfast and at dinner. They also have a rooftop bar with great views. We would definitely stay here again

Firstly, I'd like to say that the staff was excellent. However, Giuseppe, the manager, was rude, indolent and cruel. He screamed and yelled at me when we notified him about a problem with our room. Quite simply, it had no working A/C. He screamed at me in Italian to open the window and stop complaining. He then threatened to throw me and my wife out on the street, without us getting our luggage. We were on our honeymoon. Giuseppe should not be in a customer service business. Never stay at his property.

Very clean, great location, very friendly and helpful staff.

We paid for a sea view but got the room that had a large shared balcony (with two other rooms) and so had to walk across the shared terrace to get to see the view. That was not what we were paying for nor the description of the room.

Perfect stay from start to finish. Staff is so friendly especially in the restaurant and rooftop bar. Loved our room with beautiful view from balcony. Location is so convenient..just 5 minute walk from ferry dock. After having not so great dinner in town we ended up having dinner here multiple nights. Loved their gnocchi and sea bass. Thanks for being the best part of our Italy adventure.
