Hotel Florida

We stayed for 3 nights at the end of May. We stayed in Montecatini last year and really enjoyed it, hence why we came back The hotel for the price is great value and the food in their restaurant is excellent. The staff are really friendly and welcoming, and are at hand for anything you need. We will be back next year and will stay here again.

We stayed here for 3 nights, expectations were not high so I wasn't dissapointed. Facilities could use a little investment and stronger wi-fi signal would be nice. On the other hand, breakfast and dinner got better with each passing day.

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. No wifi in the room. AC was not working in some parts of the day, our room fridge was not working at all! The worst part of our stay was definitely really, really poor breakfast. Also, not the cleanest hotel. We wouldn't go there again!

Be aware, we had a great stay. However, the hotel is just bad quality. The rooms are not suitable for a couple trying to hqve romantic vacation, the shower is fine but the towls are horrible. We arrived here by mistake, we enjoyed that the hotel staff was very friendly and helpful (the best we ever had!!). Location is superb, so if you don't mind lowering your standards, you will find this to be a great stay.

Although it is located so close to the Montecatini center, i can't stop myself remembering the horrible time i had in this hotel. The hotel is old. Rooms were cold. You can't get enough hot water to take a shower. Windows were broken. Bathroom was a nightmare. It was so small and the shower was in the middle of the bathroom without curtains?! There was this little soap and nothing else. The modem was on but the guy at the reception told me that it was broken. I realized that internet line to modem was unplugged. Breakfast? Do not even ask about it. It will be a bad memory, such a beautiful town with a terrible hotel...

Very old hotel. Staff is nice though which is unusual for Italy . AC did work in our room neither did internet .

The hotel is a bit run down and older and the rooms are not impressive, but it is a decent place to stay and located in a lively area of Montecatini Terme. My friends and I enjoyed walking around the area and found a nice cafe to enjoy drinks and snacks. Our room was comfortable and offered air conditioning. We had to go downstairs and ask for the remote and have them turn it on, but the staff was helpful and friendly. The wifi worked fine and breakfast was OK, mostly bread, cereal, and some fruit. Overall, this place was fine and as I did not spend lots of time in my room or at the hotel, it served its purpose.

The rooms smell bad and the service was awful, they don't even try to help and when they did it was with a bad attitude. Breakfast, worst ever.

We stayed here twice overnight, once on the way to Sorrento and again on the way back, courtesy of Leger Holidays. Firstly, the good news! The hotel is central to Montecatini Terme which, on both occasions, was full of illuminations. There was a spectacular tree fashioned from balls of lights. There was little sign of any recession here! The town was heaving with people and vehicles. This town is one of our most favourite places in Tuscany. Now for the hotel. On our first visit, the room was ready but, in common with all other passengers on this Christmas-New Year tour, was cold. Neither the heating nor the hot water had been switched on. A few words from our driver resolved that very quickly. The heating was still on when we stayed on the way back. Nothing else had changed either. Breakfast was virtually non-existent. The rolls were put out the night before. There were no croisants, no furit, no yoghourt, no meat, no cheese and no bowls for the cereals. Indeed, the cereal dispensers looked as though no one had used them for some weeks. On the way back, even the juice machine was unplugged. Fresh rolls were outside, in a brown bag on the doorstep! The night porter was not very cooperative. Although we used the bar facilities on the way back, some of the drinks came from bottles which may not have been used since the summer. There was no white wine, although the porter managed to find some from the nearby restaurant. In themorning, despite the drivers insisting on an early breakfast, at 7:00 he was still asleep on the sofa in reception. The passengers had to turn on the lights in the breakfast room and serve themselves. When he did stir, it was obvious that he was not impressed with our version of self-service. Despite being on Silver Service, he was not cooperative in handling cases, leaving the passengers and drivers to do that themselves. Quite the opposite was the restaurant. This was a few doors away and might have been run by a totally different company. The place was warm, bright and comfortable on both occasions. The food was lovely, with efficient, quick and friendlty service. In all, the evening meals were both very enjoyable. In a stay of two halves, the hotel was ghastly and the restaurant lovely. We would never stay in the hotel willingly but we would certainly eat in the restaurant.

I stayed with my wife only for a night and we will never return to this hotel again. It was extremely cold in the room. It was almost impossible to take a shower because the temperature in bathroom was just a little bit higher then on the street and we paid our visit to this hotel at the end of December. The breakfast was nothing except coffee and bun. Too poor even for Italian hotels. The only good point is location, 2 minutes on foot to the central square. If you are on a diet and don't afraid to catch a cold - you're welcome! Maybe its Florida in summer, but in winter it feels more like Alaska.
