Hotel Villa Sirina

We stayed here for two nights visiting Taomina. Very clean property with good breakfasts. The pool is not huge but very well kept and fine for a quick dip. I would point out that the hotel is in the middle of a mountain range with Taomina city located above and the hotel is next to a curving switch back road up to the city. So like other travelers posted, you can't walk up to Taomina. We took taxis which cost 15 Euro each way. However, the local means it is quiet and away from the city hustle. So if you have a car or are ok with using the taxis, this is a great place. Very quaint and clean.

Nice hotel with very friendly staff, especially Giovanna. Hotel is not very close to beach or town and walk can be dangerous as there is a lack of pavement in parts.

Wonderful hotel relaxing ambiance the staff couldn’t do more for us. Advice and booking excursions and taxi transfer to Catania they couldn’t be more helpful. Lovely clean pool and decent size most hotels try and make their pools look bigger!! Breakfast was really good with hot option, delicious fruit salad and various breads, croissants etc. Room service was excellent and we had a spectacular view over the Mediterranean.

Hotel staff were very pleasant and the view from our room was beautiful. It was also my favorite hotel for breakfast options during our stay in Italy. However, the bed was the most uncomfortable, very hard. It was also a little far from the town and we had to take a bus which was about a 5 minute walk up/down hill, but, definitely doable. It was a great place but, maybe not for a short stay, only 2 nights for us. Overall beautiful hotel and would still recommend but, a little far from town.

The hotel was excellent the staff were very friendly though you'd better brush up on your Italian if you want a conversation. The room was spacious with a large balcony and great view of the sea. Note that if you want to go to Taormina itself you'll need to take the car as the hotel is only part way up from the sea. The hotel is a short walk from the stony beach at Giardini Naxos where there are a limited number of restaurants within walking distance it's best to go into town.

Villa was adorable..clean..great buffet...hotel staff very accommodating and helpful. Everything was excellent. If I had to say one thing it would be the bed was alittle hard to my liking. Highly recommend.

Lovely building with lots of antiques and relatively modern facilities. The people are very nice, the wifi works well, the breakfast was good, the pool was very nice, and the garden is a dream. The location is relatively quiet. It was quite warm one afternoon, and the air-conditioning did not work. After some time it was fixed, but the unit produced only warm air. Soon it ceased to function altogether and we gave up. I imagine conditions will be very difficult in the summer months if it remains disfunctional; we were there in early May. There is parking on site, which is essential in this region.

This hotel was a beautiful traditional place to stay. However there were problems - the main one being the location. It was on a very busy corner of a busy road. It was on the outskirts of Tropea and you could not walk anywhere from it. We had to take the car whenever we went anywhere and had to park the car in expensive car parks in the main town as street parking was limited.

We needed a room for one night,and came across Villa Sirina. It is a nice,family-run hotel,the staff is amazing and the room was a good size with a terrace and a nice view. The only negative is a very firm mattress on the bed,but the many other positives outweigh that.
