Hotel Norden Palace

Nice king sized bed. Clean.

Albergo onesto, camera spaziosa e pulita. Il bagno aveva la vasca e non c'è stato modo di far uscire l'acqua dal doccino (mancava il deviatore). Dal bidet usciva un filo di acqua calda che ovviamente non si scaldava. Va bene per una notte, ma non ci farei una settimana. Per lavoro ne frequento molto di questo genere è c'è di meglio visto anche il prezzo a mio avviso esoso.

Het niveau van het hotel gaat achteruit. Was vroeger een 4-sterren hotel nu nog maar 3.. Er is 1 dame die bijna alles moet doen. Voordeel van het hotel is dat het dicht bij het oude centrum.

The staff here are really friendly and accommodating, but it's just old. If you don't care about threadbare carpet, rust marks where handles used to be in the tubs and doors and fixtures fro the 70s then it's not a big deal. Everything was clean, and the front desk staff were both friendly and honest. If this place got a facelift it would be a great hotel in a great location.

Deludente in generale. Carenza di personale anche se cercavano di darsi da fare. Sicuramente il posto ha conosciuto tempi migliori. Buona la vicinanza al centro ma zona di bassa periferia.

This hotel looks better than some 4 star hotels I've stayed at. Clean, modern, staff is courteous and the room has every comfort for the category. Tip: the hotel has great parking and the center can be reached on foot in less than 10 minutes: it's great if you're going out for dinner as the main street has some really nice restaurants, but parking there is not an option.

Arrived back today from a week long school skiing trip to Pila. The skiing was great, the resort itself very much to be recommended for beginners to those between red and black runs. I doubt the best skiers would be challenged enough, though. Our hotel, the Norden Palace, is an old Travelodge. The infrastructure was good - nice rooms for families, free wifi everywhere of reasonable standard and two lifts. The owners / staff were very poor, though. They did not seem to care about the guests. They did not have a bar (it is advertised as having one - it is just an empty room now), refused to assist in any problems. The continental breakfast was not too bad, but the evening meal was a little strange in that they refused to serve ANY vegetables...they cited that a previous British school group did not eat their greens and therefore they now do not offer them. Purely meat and chips was served every night. Puddings were pleasant, though. Unfortunately, 15 (half) of our group came down with food poisoning mid week, and we narrowed it down for certain to the hotel. Our Interski rep discussed it with the hotel, but they were simply disinterested.

Di passaggio per una notte, questo hotel ha unottima posizione vicino al centro storico. La struttura non è recentissima, ma la camera è molto comoda con un bagno spazioso e un'ottima doccia

Ours was an overnight visit to Aosta so kids could ski. Arrived for afternoon of skiing at Pila; easy to collect ski gear at foot of lift. Strolled through town afterwards and had dinner, then went to sister hotel spa other end of town and walked back to hotel. Kids went skiing again in morning while we had quick stroll through town in daylight, then lift to Pila and chairlift to top for views (as pedestrians). Well worth the drive from Geneva.
