Posizione eccezionale a due passi dalla Porziuncola. Ambiente caldo, camera calda, buona l'accoglienza.

Porta della camera inaffrontabile, televisione minuscola. Prese lontane dal letto. Materasso con molle nel 2026! Panni della nonna, militari. Nel bagno porta bassa, ho dato una testata uscendo, sarebbe almeno da segnale per la.sicurezza.

Location is good, it is right in front of Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli, and Assisi train station is just a short walk away. If you exit from the train station, you go to left and walk towards McDonalds, then there is an underpass to go to the back street of the train station. I arrived at around 10.30pm at night, and I went around with my big luggage until a few teens hung out around the McDonalds told me to walk through the underpass, it was a bit confusing at first. The bus stop for line C is just across the road as well, which would take you to the Assisi main historical center. There is a tobacconist store not far from the hotel where you could buy the bus ticket. The hotel is old, which I don't mind and I knew at the time of my booking. My room, eventhough I booked a single room, they gave me the double room, which is bigger. Everything is so vintage as soon as you entered the hotel, luckily they have a lift to go up. The room was ok, a bit dark because they use yellow lights and absolutely no power sockets near the bed. Bathroom is spacious but the shower area is too tight, even for me a tiny lady. The old guy at the reception doesn't speak English, but he's nice. There is a restaurant/cafe just right next to the hotel, which the staffs there also couldn't speak English but they tried their best to take your order using a phone dictionary. That restaurant was my saviour because everything was shut down around the train station when I was there on the 1st Jan, and it was the only restaurant that opened, very convenient. City tax was €7 for 3 nights, which was supposedly €6 according to booking.com, but anyway I didn't mind to pay €1 extra. The breakfast was average, nothing fancy, but it was good that it included with the room price since I paid quite expensive in my opinion for a small town like Assisi. My hotel in Rome costed me less than this per night.

Room wasn't extra clean, people who are a clean freak might have a problem. I found a bit of dust on the floor, so make sure you bring your slippers. On the day I checked out, the lift suddenly didn't operate, I had to take down my big luggage using stairs, and it's 2 floors down, it was a bit of exercise for me. Luckily they placed me on 2nd floor and not higher, otherwise I would be in trouble. The 2nd floor was so noisy during my stay, I could hear what everyone was talking next doors, soundproof was a bit of problem. You could hear people walking and talking in the hallway in the middle of the night, and they didn't even try to keep their noise down. If you are a light sleeper, this could be a major problem.

Purtroppo la qualità dei cuscini e dei letti è veramente scadente

Colazione base, ho solo fatto la richiesta di avere una fonte proteica come uova e la richiesta è stata esaudita. Staff gentilissimo.

Secondo me le camere andrebbero modernizzate, perché tutto l'arredamento è molto vecchio.
