Hotel "La Pensione Svizzera"

Excellent location, beautiful and charming premises, and delicious breakfast.

The room was fairly small but did have a charming balcony.

Staff are very nice and welcoming

The location of the hotel (between two busy roads) and the thin walls results in a noisy stay and poor sleep.

The hostess Antionella was wonderful. Helped with everything we needed and more.

The location is excellent—just steps from the cable car and less than a 10-minute walk to the old town. The room was clean and comfortable, though a bit dated and not quite as lovely as in the photos, but the sea view from the balcony was beautiful. The hotel itself is cute and eye-catching. Breakfast was great, with plenty of food and drink options. The lady at the front desk was incredibly warm and welcoming, always greeting us with a smile. Of the two restaurant staff, the gentleman with the apron was very kind and friendly, while the taller one was a bit rude. Overall, everything was good—but a bit overpriced.

Parking in Taormina is quite difficult. We tried to find a cheaper option but couldn’t find any available spaces, so we ended up using the partnered parking nearby. It’s very close to the hotel and costs €30 per day.

Beautiful view ,quiet, centric, good breakfast

The building, the breakfast, the view, the friendliness were all excellent - a couple of minutes walk to the centre, or to the cable car to get down to the sea.

Nothing - although wish could have afforded one of the rooms with a full sun terrace!
