Hotel Metropole

This is a fantastic little hotel with great facilities including the pool and beach area. The rooms were a generous size, nicely cleaned and maintained and the breakfast buffet was great.

Not the friendliest of service at reception which was the low point. English isn't great and questions seemed to be an 'inconvenience' especially to a couple of the gentlemen. Staff at pool ans across F&B were great though. Did get a decent bite from something in bed which wasn't ideal however to be fair we did air the room out with open windows during the day

Tolle Lage am Strand und absolute Zentrumsnähe. Tolles Frühstück, allerdings muss man für Spiegelei (8.00 €) oder Omelette (12.50 €) zuzahlen. Sehr gepflegter Park und Strand. Gut ausgestattete Zimmer. Sehr hundefreundlich.

Beim Einchecken kam leider sofort die Ernüchterung. Der komplette Indoor spa, auch die Schwimmbäder sind kostenpflichtig (3.50 € pro Stunde und Person). Der angegebene Wellnessbereich war der Grund dieses Hotel zu buchen. Die Standliegen kosten 20 € pro Person, obwohl man Hotelgast ist. Der Parkplatz mit 30 € sehr teuer, der angepriesene Parkservice war nicht präsent. Last but Not least haben uns die vielen Kameras massiv gestört. Sie waren in allen Gängen und direkt in der Hecke am Balkon. Die Kamera war direkt auf uns gerichtet. Bei unserer Bitte diese zu entfernen oder abzustellen, würden wir abgewiesen, mit der Begründung diese seien zur Sicherheit. Die Kamera speziell am Balkon hat die Privatsphäre massiv eingeschränkt. An der Rezeption liefen die Monitore mit der Überwachung. Der Kühlschrank darf nur für hoteleigene Getränke benutzt werden.Vor dem Auschecken haben wir zuerst das Gepäck im Auto verstaut. Zwei Mitarbeiter waren zutiefst besorgt, dass wir wohl die Zeche prellen und kontrollierten uns am Ausgang. Wer in der Lage ist, dieses Hotel vorab zu bezahlen, wird wohl auch den Rest bezahlen können.

This place is a well kept secret and a hidden gem, wow, so happy to know about it! I came in August 2022 and now again July 2025, both times were excellent. The service! I'm just going to say the service and the attention to detail is one of the things that really sets this place above. And additionally, it's a stunning location, minutes walk from the train station and nestled in it's own private cove of water front real-estate. I get the sense families start coming here for years, as a tradition and I can see why. Very comfortable, I had everything I needed, the access to the sea is exemplary. Yes, you have to pay an additional €20/person/day for a flat bead chair, ok, it's worth it, and everything else I would say is quite reasonably priced! suggestion: go to Trattoria da Pezzi for lunch. I had a great time here, will go back and hopefully with family. This place seems kid friendly as well.
