Gasthof Hotel Doktorwirt

Tolles, freundliches Personal, familiäre Atmosphäre. Alle Wünsche wurden erfüllt. Schwimmbad war klasse und nicht überfüllt. Der Garten war einfach wunderschön, man sieht schon, wie viel Arbeit man da investiert. Frühstück regional, teilweise sogar hausgemacht. Ruhige Lage, trotzdem war alles gut erreichbar. Wir waren ganz zufrieden.

Die ruhige Lage dieses schön ausgestatteten Hotels nahe einer Busstation nach Salzburg. Die Gratis-Mobilcard (Guest Mobility Ticket) für den Salzburg Verkehr wurde uns beim Einchecken überreicht. Super!

Die Enttäuschung beim Check-in war groß, als wir erfuhren, dass wir abends nicht im Hotel essen konnten und das Restaurant schon seit 3 Jahren geschlossen ist. Warum wirbt das Hotel dann mit Fotos von gedeckten Tischen zum Abendessen und lecker angerichteten Tellergerichten auf seiner Website ? Bei der Entscheidung, dieses Hotel zu buchen, war ich nach diesen Fotos gegangen und hatte nicht das Kleingedruckte gelesen. Man sollte den "Doktorwirt" Hotel Garni nennen und nicht "Gasthof-Hotel". Wenn man tagsüber in Salzburg unterwegs war, hat man wenig Lust, sich abends nach einer Essensmöglichkeit in der Umgebung umzusehen. Von den 3 vorgeschlagenen Restaurants war eins geschlossen und das Andere zu weit, blieb also nur eins übrig. Ein Jammer, dass die schönen Gasträume des "Doktorwirt" nur dem Frühstück dienen (was übrigens gut war). Schade, deshalb würde ich dieses Hotel nicht mehr buchen.

Staff are super friendly and helpful. This is a small, family-run hotel located in a quiet residential neighborhood, with super-cute, quirky decor. Rooms are clean and comfortable, and there is a bus line a short walk away to get into Salzburg. The breakfast was good, with eggs, fruit, yogurt, cheeses, meats, fancy coffee, juice, and lots of bread options. My adult daughter went for several runs, and the neighborhood was perfect for that, nice and safe.

The hotel is located quite far from the city center, so it does take time to get there by bus. While there are a couple of local restaurants (one of which only accepts cash in Euros rather than credit cards), the neighborhood doesn't offer much in the way of food options or night life (which didn't really matter to us, but might matter to some people). The chairs in the room were a bit saggy.

We had a wonderful short stay at the Gasthof Hotel. A charming and beautiful place with a really relaxing atmosphere and great veiws. Me and my partner had an amazing time there. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always helpful throughout our stay. After a full day walking around Salzburg, it was perfect to come back and enjoy the pool and unwind for the evening. Overall, a lovely experience and somewhere we would happily stay again.

The only small downside for us was that there was no tea or coffee facilities in the room, but other than that, this place was pretty much perfect in our opinion. We would happily stay again.

Das Schwimmbad (innen) ist ein absoluter Traum und noch dazu wurde es kaum von anderen Badegästen benutzt. Es liegen sehr reichlich sehr große Badehandtücher bereit. Der Hotelchef hat uns extra auf unseren Wunsch hin unser Rührei mit Gemüse zubereitet. Sehr lobenswert zu erwähnen ist auch das kostenlose Busticket, das man für die Zeit des Aufenthalts ausgestellt bekommt.

Das Zimmer war schon etwas abgewohnt.
