Hostal Castilla II - Puerta del Sol

We really enjoyed this location near the Plaza Mayor with so many dining and tourist activities available nearby. The building was originally an old fire house and has a bunch of different sized rooms. Our room had a double bed a small balcony/window and a small bathroom with shower. The shower and hot water all worked great. The room was cleaned each day and they had a hot water pot with some instant coffee and tea in each room. Great price for a small, clean room in a very expensive area of Madrid.

My only complaint was noise from bar patrons who hung out on benches below the property on the weekend.

Muy buenos todos en el hotel

The beds were hard as a rock. When going to our room, we had to walk through a cleaning supply room. The walls were so thin we could hear the conversation of the people in the next room. Not the place for a 60-year-old woman who Is used to hotels with amenities and comfort.

Amazing stay. The hostel is very central to the place if interest Walking distance to almost every tourist attractions Metro Sol 5 minutes metro Grand via 10 minutes. i walk almost every where…or else I took the metro. I fell very safe.people are very friendly and they go off there ways to help you. Went to the flamenco show. The corrida ,the opera Prado,royal palace prado museum Retiro gardens etc… As you can see a very busy schedule… Plaza Mayor and plaza del Sol are not even 5 minutes The hostel is on a busy street a little noisy but if you close the windows an the (volets) you don’t ear anything. I was travelling alone and I felt very safe in the environment of Hostel Castillo.

Room very clean, walking distance to all attractions, easy check in and out.

Very clean all the and you can walk to San Miguel Narket and puerta de el Sol. Its in a middle of a very vibrant area. I wouldn't look for another place i just found the ONE. I'LL BE BACK
