Globales Mimosa

Absolutely shocking experience. I have never bothered to write a single review before until this holiday. This was one of the most disgusting and upsetting hotel stays I have ever experienced. What should have been a relaxing holiday turned into a nightmare due to repeated issues with cleanliness, safety and privacy. The room was not cleaned to an acceptable standard when we arrived. Towels were stained, the bedsheets were marked, and I even found glass on the floor. Finding broken glass in a guest room is dangerous and completely unacceptable. There was sand on the bedsheets and hairs everywhere. The most disturbing incident involved our toothbrushes. We left them in the bathroom during the day while housekeeping was in the room. Later, when we returned, I noticed brown residue on my toothbrush before I used it. I immediately stopped using it and took photographs. The toothbrush also had a strong body odour smell that was not there previously. My friend’s toothbrush had a strong fish-like smell. We were both disgusted and extremely concerned about how our personal belongings had been handled while we were out of the room. We don’t know who did it but I hope the hotel is investigating it because there’s no way that happened by accident. It looks like my toothbrush has been wiped on the toilet brush. I cannot explain exactly how this happened, but the condition and smell of the toothbrushes after housekeeping had been in the room left us feeling uncomfortable and unable to trust the cleanliness of the hotel. To make matters worse, a staff member entered our room unexpectedly during the holiday. No knock or anything, we had just woken up and both of us were just in underwear. This happened when my friend was sat on the toilet with the door open which is right next to the door of our room, and I was lying in bed. This was alarming and felt like a complete invasion of privacy. Guests should be able to feel safe and secure in their accommodation. When we asked reception if there was a policy about staff knocking and told her what had just happened, she said ‘yes’ and gave us a do not disturb sign to put on our door. If this hotel was really a 4 star there should have been a simple apology for the privacy breach that happened. Our key cards stopped working every day, being on the 8th floor we had to spend 20 mins of our day waiting for one of the 3 awful lifts to get a new key card. The food is awful, seems like the hotel cuts corners to not spend money. Food is bland and gave me a dodgy stomach every day. Drinks are watered down, and if you want proper cocktails, you have to pay even if you’re all inclusive. Ice creams, you have to pay for at the snack bar. By the end of the trip, we felt angry, uncomfortable and deeply disappointed. Between the stained towels, marked bedding, broken glass on the floor, concerns about hygiene, and people entering the room unexpectedly, this hotel fell far below even the most basic standards expected by paying guests. I would not return to this hotel and would not recommend it to anyone. Management needs to take these issues seriously and make significant improvements to cleanliness, housekeeping practices and guest privacy.

Not enough entertainment

We love this hotel Its yet another trip with friends and this hotel has it all. Lovely rooms & this year we got adjoining rooms which was perfect. The hotel is lovely,modern and well kept The food is amazing, the drinks are good and so is the entertainment The staff are all so friendly and helpful. Its perfectly located and you are close to shops & restaurants. The only downside is lifts. There are only 3. No matter what floor you are on coming down the stairs isn't an issue but going up is. With only 3 lifts there can be a wait I love this hotel and will definitely be back.

Just returned from an amazing holiday at the Globales Mimosa hotel in Palma Nova, Majorca. We travelled as a family of 6 - five adults and a seven year old. The hotel was spotlessly clean and modern looking. Food was good and plenty of choice, even for a fussy 18 year old 😂. The entertainment team of Carolina, Sofia and Paul were amazing with plenty to do during the day if you wanted to (but no pushiness if you didn't). There were not many children in the hotel so the children's mini disco was almost non existent but Carolina and Sofia made a great fuss of my 7 year old grandson and really made his holiday special with face painting and balloon animals. Also mini games when there were more than two children there. Entertainment at night varied from Karaoke, dance night, Flamenco dancers, and some visiting musicians who were excellent. The pool was lovely and quite warm once you were in and there were plenty of sunbeds around. The staff around the hotel were very efficient and friendly and the housekeeping staff kept our rooms clean with fresh towels and bedding when needed. Only negative at this hotel were the lifts which were small and slow. The waits at the higher floors were long!! All in all a super holiday at the Mimosa with once again a special mention to Carolina, Sofia and Paul. Thank you all x

Great value all inclusive. Very clean throughout the hotel. Comfortable rooms. Good selection of food, especially at lunch and dinner. Nice relaxing atmosphere.

WiFi was not great and the 'fast' connection often dropped out or went very slow.

Awful hotel, do not book they try charging you for whatever they can. When we arrived we could smell someone smoking dope. Check in is 2pm and you have to pay 15 euros to get into the room and to get food and drink. 2 tokens are given to each person so that they don't have to employ anyone to clear tables, even if you want a cup of ice etc. 2 euros if you want a lollipop for a child. Some staff can be quite rude. The hotel was very clean and the beds were comfortable. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone, by the 2nd day we wanted to go home.

Booked with Jet2 for 4 nights. Arrived 11am and we paid 15 Euros to get into our room early. Good sized family room for 3 of us. Hotel clean and patio doors keep any outside noise out. All inclusive isn’t what I would call it. The drinks menu is awful and VERY limited. The cocktails are disgusting premixed syrup with juice added or water. Wine is watered downs One was suppose to have lemonade and when I said it’s made with water she replied we aren’t allowed to use 7up anymore in our cocktails. The cups are small and full of ice and 3/4 full. So you’ve drunk it before you get back to your sunbed. Only 2 drinks each so 3 of us meant 2 had to go to bar. Pool at food is pizza , awful burgers and chips with salad. Their only restaurant is buffet and you only get coffee at breakfast !!! How can you not have coffee at lunch or dinner, they turn the machines off. Ridiculous to not have coffee available. We ended up having to pay for drinks. An all inclusive that isn’t all inclusive Food basic and always cold. Pizza were good that’s all we ate. It’s a 3 star NO WAY a 4 star. Hotel is kept clean all over so well done to housekeeping. 5 minute walk to bars so location is good.

Visited in May for few nights away with friends, lovely hotel and rooms, however the air con did not work, the lifts need sorting out it takes ages getting to the floor you need to be on. Be aware all inclusive drinks do not include ice cream and lollies, and a few alcoholic drinks which you have to pay for and faff about going to reception to pay. Food fair choice in restaurant plenty of choice of salad fresh fruit and cakes Tv does not work and that was in a few of the rooms, for all inclusive for 4 star should have have better choice of hot meals, Don’t provide towels, the pool area is nice minimal food at lunch

Pro's. The hotels condition was OK. The location was fine, I checked it out before booking. We didn't hear any noisy roads on our side of the hotel. The room was OK as was the cleaning. We didn't find the rooms too noisy or try the air con. The pool area was fine and we never had a problem getting sunbeds, there is no option to hire pool towels. The food was OK in the restaurant although I had to use the microwave a lot to warm it up. The variety was ok for a week, you'd probably struggle for 2 weeks. The salad etc was fine. The pool bar was repetitive with chips, pizza and burgers the norm. Cons. It's €15 for a pre-2pm check in and they won't give you your wristbands until you've checked in even if your room is available. €11.50 PER NIGHT for the safe. We gave it a miss. I don't know if this is standard across all Globales hotels? The all inclusive drinks menu is really poor, there is not much local drink on it and everything else is chargeable. The glasses are small so you spend a lot of time standing in the constant queue at the bar. The entertainment is simply awful and centres around poorly executed in-house Bingo. The lifts are an absolute nightmare, they are old, never seem to arrive and when they do they're full. Warning for parents with children, the lift doors will close on you. There is a 3rd lift hidden round the corner but that's the same. In summary I'd say this is a 3* hotel not 4*, even in Spanish ratings.
