Really welcoming reception staff - who seemed very genuine and caring. Whenever I came back, or left the hotel the reception staff acknowledged me with a 'bon jour, bon soir' etc. The room was comfortable and clean and mine had a nice balcony, overlooking the street below. I located a mini fridge on my return leg which was a nice addition for chilling beers and wine AND chocolate. The breakfast team were very nice and welcoming and genuinely seemed to care. .. this even went as far as the hotel cleaning team who were very nice and polite if you met them in the corridor, stairs or tiny lift. The location, just around the corner from the 'Republique' tram stop was great, with quick, easy travel into the old city and main train station etc. I arrived early evening on a Tuesday, and asked the reception staff member for recommendations for a place to eat nearby. He happily gave me two suggestion, he circled on a street map and gave easy walking directions. The Italian restaurant - Babbo Mio on Place du Pin nearby was busy but the food was amazing and budget friendly AND for a person travelling and eating alone, was excellent and friendly place. Highly recommended.

Nothing. I would happily go there again tomorrow. The hotel has been renovated from a previous incarnation and the layout and stairwells plus the tiny lift are dated, BUT the hospitality is up there with the best and I think the staff from reception, to catering to cleaning are top notch. Thank you for making my stay in Nice so enjoyable
