"Dump"

The room was dirty. Hair and garbage were on the floor everyday from previous customers. Bed sheets were not changed. We had to ask for towels. Staff were not present to answer our questions. they handed us the key when we arrived and never saw them after.

"Excellent location"

6.0

The hotel is located right on a major tourist street that contains many restaurants and shops. It is a very lively location and just a couple of blocks from the beach. The room was small, as are many hotels in Europe. Our room was stated as being for 4 people but we only had 1 double bed and a futon. Luckily there were only two of us. We had a small balcony and coffee maker in the room. The bed and pillow were not the most comfortable, but the price was great for the location.

"Excellent Location"

6.0

If you're looking for a cheaper hotel in a great location this fits the bill. Easy walking distance to Promenade des Anglais and the old Town and some great restaurants on the doorstep. The tram stopped at the top of the road with links to the station and the port. Staff are friendly and helpful, our room was typically small and needed a fresh coat of paint but clean enough, with fresh linen and towels twice in the week. Not one to try and impress your partner with but great for the location none the less.

"Good"

6.0

Friendly staff, very good location. Some rooms not worth the money. We were total three people and booked 1 double and 1 singlerroom, each at an Internet rate of Eur 53. Double room was changed from room no 6, very small and very dark to room 4, with a small balcony toward the pedistrian street. Recommend always to ask for a room towards the street, when you close the door to the balcony you can hardly hear any noise. Never accept room no 6.I think they should offer this room at a much lower price. There might be some more rooms of this low standard. Cleaning was poor, and all rooms need to be renovated. In Nice there a lot of apartments for rent. Most of them are on a weekly base, but some can be rented on a daily rate. Do so, if you stay more than 4 nights. Nice is not an inpensive city,e.g. english breakfast will coswt appr eur 12.

"Great location"

8.0

The location and the atmosphere around the hotel were wonderful, the staff was friendly.Small room if you have a whole family but perfect for a couple. If you travel by car,be aware that the hotel location is in pedestrian area and there is no descent place even to park to unload your luggage. There is a nearby parking lot but as everywhere in Western Europe the high prices for parking are unjustified.

"Get what you pay for."

6.0

We arrived at about 10am, but the staff were happy to let us leave our bags in the breakfast room until check in at 2pm. We returned at about 1:45pm and the previous guests were still there, despite check out being 11am. We were finally allowed to go to our room at around 4pm. The room was ok. A plus point was the bathroom with power shower. The room wasn't that clean - maybe due to the mix up at check in, the cleaner just did a hurried job. The floor hadn't been swept, so we ended up trailing the previous guests' hair/ dirt into the bed. The cover sheet was stained, but it was so warm that we didn't use it anyway. Air con was good until the third night when it started making intermittent loud clicking. So it was a choice of being cool but woken up every 30 minutes, or having a hot but quiet room. There was a kettle with coffee, tea and sugar. Overall we were happy with the stay. For the price, the room was ok and as the location is so good, that you don't really spend much time in it anyway. It's a bit of a trek staying on the third floor, as there's no lift and the staircase is a bit narrow and wobbly. The staff were friendly enough and happy to let you store baggage, provide extra towels and sheets. My friends and I were on a bit of a budget holiday, so this hotel suited us fine. I would also recommend it for solo travellers. However, if you're going on a couple's holiday, I would suggest perhaps paying a bit extra and going for a different hotel.

"Perfect location!!!"

6.0

This small hotel has an amazing location, just 2 blocks to the beach, public and private beaches, and along a beautiful pedestrian street with lots of cafes, restaurants and shops. Walking to the restaurants in the old city was easy through the streets and the Place Macena, or along the Prominade des Anglais. The hotel itself is very small and simple. We had the quad room for myself, my husband and 2 kids ages 6 and 8, and we had the double room across the hall for my mother-in-law. Our room fit us and 2 small suitcases and that was it. The bed was comfortable, the pull out bed was ok for little kids, and the water smelled unusual. The air conditioning was great and blocked out any noise from the street below. It was fine for 2 nights and the price was great. But when I return to Nice I will upgrade my hotel instead of paying for beach chairs, towels and umbrellas at the private beach because that cost $160 Can. Hotel Felix is fine if you want a cheap hotel with a great location.

"Charming."

10.0

Very nice room facing the pedestrian zone. No problem with noise since once you close the Double pane doors you are quite isolated. Good wi-fi internet in the room. very clean and stuff very friendly and helpful. best value for the money in Nice. I would go back there again when next time in Nice. all you need to do is come out of the Hotel door and you are in the middle of the pedestrian Zone. 2 minutes walk and you are on the beach.

"great location"

8.0

The location was great - in amongst the shops, restaurants and supermarkets and the beach was a block away. A lft would have been helpful with getting my luggage to and from the third floor and the door on the bathroom didn't close and there was a bit of a smell coming from the drain but the people on the desk and the cleaner were very friendly and helpful and I would certainly stay there again if I ever get back to Nice.

"stay away, run from it!"

2.0

Stay away if you can. Room was dirty, smelly and with all kinds of broken furniture. Air conditioning made a pool on the ground every day of our stay, no attempt to repair it: "it should stop in a few minutes" and a bucket was their solution
