マルセイユの中央駅からは、坂を下って上がってと結構歩きます（迷わなければ１５分くらい）。ホテル前の坂は勾配がややきついです。少々場所がわかりにくく、地元の方に聞いてようやくたどり着けました。ホテル内は狭いですが、とても清潔で静かです。ただ、エレベーターがないので、大きな荷物があるとたいへんです。フロントの方も親切ですが、時間によっては英語のまったく通じない人がいます。

Zentral gelegen, gerade mal 10-15 Minuten zu Fuß vom Bf entfernt. 2 Minuten vom nächsten Lebensmittelgeschäft weg. Ins Zentrum und zum Hafen brauch man nur die Strasse 20 bzw. 30 Minuten Bergab laufen. Alle Sehenswürdigkeiten kann man vom Hotel aus in 5-60 Minuten Fußweg erreichen, je nach dem wie fit man ist kann es auch etwas länger dauern, da Marseille vom Hafen bis zur Kirche über der Stadt doch ein paar hundert Höhenmeter in sich vereint. Wär einen Tag am Strand verbringen möchte kann dies in 25 Minuten für unter 2,-€ mit der Metro machen. Es gibt freie und Gebührenpflichtige Abschnitte, am besten vorher informieren, die Strände haben auch Öffnungszeiten die man erfragen sollte.
Hotel Azur var sjarmerende. På de få kvadratmetrene som var mitt rom, hadde jeg toalett, håndvask, dusj og seng. Rommet var lite, men høyt under taket, og lå mot en bakgård som var litt åpen, og hadde fine trær. Klimaanlegget fungerte godt - heldigvis: 33 grader i skyggen. Når skoddene ikke var for, hadde naboene sannsynligvis full oversikt over rommet. Hyggelig betjening, jeg bruker gjerne hotellet igjen. Ikke heis, lytt mellom rommene.
Marseille is more filthy than a 1960's Harlem. Hotel Azur is generally decent, and it is close to the big port but they refused us regular drinking glasses and did not let me send my postcard with their outgoing mail. It should be noted that Azur did let us check in after midnight, with a typed note and a room key waiting for us on the front desk after we punched in the door code (which the clerk gave me over the phone). Moreover, Azur was inexpensive and pretty clean/decent, unlike Marseille.
Loved the room. It had a lot of old world charm. Location is nice except at night when the street isn't very well lit. Saw many homeless people but did not encounter any problems. Parking was a bit confusing to find but managed to find by asking on the street.
la porte ne fermait pas si pas un tour de clé. Dommage qu'il n'y est pas d’ascenseur pour ces 4 étages à monter à pied quand on est chargée! Petit déjeuner un peu cher pour la qualité de ce dernier Personnel très agréable, jolie déco et hôtel plutôt calme. Wifi gratuit!
Near by city and harbour. Friendly staff. Dirty neighbouring areas with limited parkings.
