Hôtel la Résidence du Vieux Port

I had high hopes for this hotel given its prime location and positive reviews, but unfortunately, my experience was completely overshadowed by the absolutely terrible bed. Without exaggeration, it was the worst bed I have ever slept in: painfully uncomfortable. I woke up with serious back pain and it genuinely affected the quality of my trip. It is unacceptable and frankly shocking that an establishment in this line of business would offer such a poor quality bed. A hotel’s most basic responsibility is to provide guests with a place to rest and sleep comfortably. This bed was a disgrace. It’s hard to understand how this hasn’t been addressed by management.

Wonderful Stay with Stunning Views of the Old Port I absolutely loved the location of this hotel—right in the heart of Marseille, with easy access to everything and a breathtaking view of the old port. We stayed in a two-room property, and the view from our windows was just beautiful, especially at sunset. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and welcoming from the moment we arrived. Their warm hospitality made our stay even more enjoyable. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Marseille!

Great location and a very helpful staff

We truly enjoyed our stay at this lovely hotel, perfectly located right on the Vieux-Port. It’s the ideal place for discovering Marseille, with countless restaurants nearby and easy access to everything on foot or by public transportation. The breakfast buffet is exceptional – incredibly complete, with something for every taste. A great start to each day! Highly recommended for anyone looking to experience the best of Marseille.

The hotel has an absolutely amazing view of the harbor and the city around the harbor. There are tons of Resturant’s that are easy to walk to. The only thing that I noticed as a negative, and it is nothing with the hotel, it is just a loud environment around the area that had music and people out late at night.

The hotel Is on waterfront. We were given a room With a nice terrace overseeing the water. The room is functional. There are many Restsurant next to the hotel. Parking is in a public lot and need to walk two blocks but the price was reasonable at 15 euro a day.

The Prime location. The room was comfort and well equipped, staff friendly and welcoming! A perfect place to stay!
