Open Gate

Along with the beauty of the Amalfi Coast the Open Gate Hotel was a refreshing surprise. My wife and I have stayed in numerous small hotels in the past but have never had such a personal stay with the family run home. All the hotel service had a personal touch. Beginning from the hotel manager (Pasquale) and the rest of the family were simply beautiful people and made us feel like part of the family. With the Italian background I have my wife and I found the food simply wonderful. We will be making plans to revisit next year .

the hotel is in the best location bang on the side of the road. rooms has balcony and facing the fantastic view of the sea.its in a quite location and it has its own restaurant very convenient for hotel customers. staff are friendly and helpful and provide information about travel and schedule of buses and help you reserve your place if you want a boat tour to the island of capri and surrounding. Priano is a good starting point for boat trip because its not crowded unlike if you book your boat trip at positano its crowded and much more in mid summer. i certainly recommend this hotel for its location just on the side of the road, has a restaurant and the beautiful view looking out the sea specially if you're on the 3rd floor. travelling by bus you might be able to tell the driver to stop right at the front of the hotel. the hotel is between bus stop 9 and 10. bus stop 7 is too far to walk to the hotel but if they are not busy the hotel staff might be able to pick you up at the bus stop just like they did to us. the bus fare is so cheap 1.50euro minimum one way around the area example from priano to amalfi coast. taxi is very expensive.for relaxing and quite hotel go for this hotel if you want excitement amalfi coast is only a short distance away but the last bus is 9pm. i have a wonderful experience at this hotel. am glad i pick this hotel among the 3 hotels i book. fantastic view, right beside the road and has its own restaurant.

The Open Gate Hotel was great. The views form our balcony we're beautiful.The hospitality from the staff was very nice. The food they cooked us was delicious from their restaurant even though they were closed for the season.Parking along the Amalfi Coast looked very difficult at most places however The Open Gate had a small parking lot for us to use which was very handy.We would go back again for sure!

Great views. basic but perfect. Would stay again.
