Hotel GHT Costa Brava & SPA

As our flight was very early we knew our room would not be ready so after a swift check in we went off to explore. The hotel is well positioned every thing is walking distance . going back we went to our room and were not pleased with the shower in the centre of the room no privacy glass, we explained we had an 8 year old with us so not really appropriate, they found us another room the next day .At this point i must point out both rooms were spotless as was all the hotel. they were a good size and adequate for a weeks stay. The pool was a good size and we always got a sun bed even though it was busy. sun beds not very comfy. So to the food, breakfast every thing you could want, evening meal always 3/4 fish dishes, 2/3 casseroles some wonderfull vegetable dishes, the show cooking always had meat to be grilled , fish, and chicken, there was a rissoto, paella,or pizza, always chips or roasties. Dessert the usual slab cake, milk puddings, a cake/tart, lots of fruit. I can not comment on the entertainment as we never went but passed through and it was always busy. 10 euros gets you the loan of a big fluffy pool towel you must return it to be reimbursed.The spa facilities were available to us too however we were too busy to use them. maybe next time.

Super clean and great location, staff are excellent and attentive and worthy of 5 stars. However, with no tea or coffees making facilities in the room, we had to go out and buy our own. To make matters worse, the bar that should be open at 10am, not once during the stay did we find a staff member serving during the daytime. I understand that we may have been unlucky in our attempts, but this basic requirement should not be down to luck. It was so close to being the perfect choice for future holidays, but when I can’t get a coffee, sadly it isn’t.

The hotel is very clean and comfortable, the beds were queen style pushed together to make a little more room, very comfortable. The room was large with a balcony, nice experience. The food was excellent value, great choice and variety, both breakfast and evening meal

The hotel in general was good. Food good,staff except the lady on the hotplate was not so good,especially the tall barman who charged me 1 euro for a glass of ice to take to my room,i wanted to cool my water to take my medication,i think it was because the night before he saw me take a glass of beer upstairs to my room and asked me,were is the glass, when he saw me again,omg i will bring it back later i replied, there is no glasses in the rooms only paper cups in bathrooms, no tea or coffee making facilities in rooms in this day and age is a bit off putting,bit noisy in the rooms at night,all in all its not a bad hotel if the staff get there act together. And you dont take glasses upstairs ah ah,

Lovely hotel good value for money close to town and beaches and supermarkets Food was ok something for everyone but if you like Indian food try the one down the road amazing !!! Bar staff were very friendly Rooms basic no fridge or kettle but pillows were soft We were in 241 which faced the risk but very quiet Pool absolutely freezing !!!!!! Spa and indoor pool lovely but got busy Overall good value for price paid x

Great value for money, but shame I got given a small ground floor room with only a juliet balcony (despite photos and description listing that the room had a balcony among its highlights). I asked for a better single room/one on a higher floor, but was told none were available. Lovely pool area and well located for the beach and historic old town. The spa was well-equipped and the breakfast had a good selection.

Stayed in room 201 from 6th to 13th October. Hotel is spotless clean, all staff are so nice & friendly, nothing is too much trouble.Stayed half board and can honestly say this is the best hotel food we have ever had. Loads of choice & all restaurant staff are superb. Room was lovely, modern with a large terrace & very clean, a big thank you to the lovely cleaning ladies. From start to finish this has been a great holiday in a lovely hotel with the best staff team. Keep up the good work. Will definitely return.

Hemos estado muy agusto y todos muy cariñosos y la comida requissima

Good hotel, excellent staff. Atmosphere just as I like, quiet, room service excellent. I really like staying there. Would very much like to go back. I am going to buy a phrase book in Icelandic and Spanish to be able to speak to people. Too old to learn!
