Hotel Excelsior Valencia – Not dog-friendly at all ⭐☆☆☆☆ We are used to travelling with our two small Spitz dogs, both under 5 kg, and have never had issues at other hotels. This was the first time we were told our two dogs could not stay in the same room — despite the fact that they are mother and daughter and have never been separated. On top of that, we were charged €22 per dog per night, plus a €200 deposit per dog for potential damages. For two tiny Spitz weighing less than 5 kg each, this felt completely disproportionate. The reception staff were truly unpleasant and unwilling to listen or show any flexibility, hiding behind “protocol” with no empathy whatsoever. The room itself — at €200 per night — was nothing special and lacked any charm. If you are travelling with dogs, I would strongly advise you to look elsewhere. A great disappointment.
