Fattoria San Donato

Το κατάλυμα ήταν υπέροχο! Οι οικοδεσπότες ήταν πολύ φιλόξενοι, όλα ήταν πολύ καθαρά, η τοποθεσία φανταστική και το vibe τέλειο! Υπήρχε νερό και καφές στο δωμάτιο. Το δωμάτιο ήταν ακόμη ωραιότερο απ τις φωτογραφίες.

Το πρωινό θα μπορούσε να ήταν λίγο πιο πλούσιο .

The staff was amazing and very kind, ready to help you with everything! Their dogs were memorable as well and we loved everything about the people that owns the property! The location was fantastic for anyone who wants to wander around Tuscany and chill, away from city lights ❤️ The room was truly spacious and appropriate for longer stays. Great to have a window over the vineyard and enjoy a great view!

It was extremely difficult to deal with the fact that we had to pay for cleaning of the room, a service which we didn’t choose! We stayed for a relatively long time so we actually expected that the room would be cleaned at least once and be given clean towels etc. After all the accommodation is not cheap. The doors of the room had 0 sound isolation, we could hear everything outside and we were woken up a couple of times due to other guests chatting outside our door or opening their doors. It was also not easy to access our own bathroom without waking up your partner as the bathroom/toilet door was dragging along the floor making a very strong sound. We stayed on the first floor of one of the buildings, amazing view, but terrible sound isolation from top floor. The couple on the top floor was very….”active”….throughout the day/night and eventually extremely annoying for us. Even the guests of the neighbouring room complained to them about it (we heard the discussion through the door hahaha)

Everything! The family who runs it truly treats you like a guest. The property is beautiful with amazing views. The gourmet lunch we booked included 5 wines and so much food, they also make it an experience and tell you to go slow and enjoy - which we did! Our room was immaculate and the bathroom was very spacious. If time allows, I highly recommend the breakfast, we were expecting some cornettos and coffee, but it was a massive selection and well worth it. Definitely looking forward to returning someday.

Not the properties fault - but the taxi situation in the town is not very reliable, so renting a car allows you the most flexibility for leaving the property to explore San Gimignano.
