Fattoria San Donato

I was really looking forward to staying at Fattoria San Donato, but unfortunately it didn’t quite live up to my expectations. The room itself wasn’t very comfortable and felt somewhat unclean, with a noticeable sewage smell coming from the bathroom. The overall space felt quite outdated and in need of some maintenance. On a positive note, the food experiences such as the tastings and lunch were delicious and enjoyable, but I didn’t feel they were worth the high price charged. Similarly, the breakfast was underwhelming and overpriced for what was offered.

Nous avons été très bien accueillis. Le propriétaire était exceptionnellement gentil et accueillant. La dégustation de vin était généreuse et fun. Nous avons passé un agréable moment

We loved being welcomed with a class of wine. The bed was comfortable and the room and bathroom were very clean. We very much appreciated use of the laundry facility. We decided to have dinner there one evening, and it was amazing--lots of food and wine. We also had breakfast each morning, and appreciated the variety of food and drink offered. The location was perfect for visiting San Gimignano, Volterra and Certaldo. Ricardo and the Fenzi family were most welcoming.

Shower was slow to drain. Number of tour busses visiting was a surprise.

We had an excellent stay in the newly renovated self-catering apartment. The property has been beautifully restored, preserving its historic charm while offering every modern comfort including a steam shower, an enormous bathtub, and even a cosmetic fridge. The attention to detail is extraordinary. The staff were amazing, warm, welcoming, and always helpful. The location is fantastic, and watching the sunrise over the Tuscan hills was absolutely breathtaking. Highly recommend!

Cannot fault Fattoria San Donato

Der biologische Wein der hier produziert wird ist sehr gut. Allgemein die Fattoria ist sehr hübsch aber schon extrem rustikal. Wc Spühlung musste man 3x drücken und das warme Wasser beim duschen war extrem unkonstant.

Leider hat die Familie den Spagaht zwischen 6 bis 8 Busen, die voll sind mit Touristen die zur Degustation kommen und den Gästen, die auf der Fattoria logieren, nicht im Griff. Der Pool sah sehr ungepflegt aus, die Küchenausrüstung in den Ferienwohnungen ist sehr schlecht, nicht mal ein Weinöffner und das auf einem Weingut. Die Messer sind stumpf. Bei der Frage ob man was essen kann im Restaurant hiess es, lassen sie mich schauen. Es gab 0 Info bei der Ankunft. Wo man auswerts essen könnte oder einkaufen. Keinen Kochkurs, wie auf der Webseite angeboten und der Chef macht keine Trüffeljagd mehr. Keine klare Preisangaben, man bekommt etwas angeboten und weiss nicht was der Gast dafür bezahlt. Mir war das zuviel, sisi non problemo.

EL desayuno fabuloso, el lugar espectacular, atencion por los propios dueños, todo hecho con dedicación.
