The outdoor facilities could be improved (barbecue, common areas) and maybe a small pack of amenities could be useful specially the first day at arrival (shower gel., Shampoo)

The check-in process was smooth, and the host was very friendly and helpful, offering good suggestions for local attractions and remaining accessible throughout the stay. The property is conveniently located at roughly equal distances from Florence, Pisa, and Siena, though a car is indeed necessary. Set in a tranquil, verdant village, it boasts a stunning Tuscan view from the village center of Montaione. The apartment/room was spacious, and it seems the host kindly provided an upgrade to a larger apartment, which surpassed the expectations set by the photographs. Although our travel season precluded us from using the pool, it appeared inviting.

Please note the check-out time, which may be considered a bit early by some. However, everything else about the stay was perfect!

Preliminary remark: We are providing this assessment in the hope of bringing about improvements for future guests and to adequately inform them of the current status of flats 8A and 8B. To state this right away: It is irrelevant whether the defects could have been partially remedied during our stay. We do not want to spend the holiday with workmen and constant enquiries. It is the task of a host to provide the flat in such a way that it has no defects from the beginning. Moreover, most defects cannot be remedied in the short term. Moreover, many defects have already been pointed out by other guests and have not been remedied so far. What needs improvement is: - Mould in shower - Shower without water pressure - No shutters on the outside, therefore no darkening and simultaneous ventilation possible; as there is no air conditioning, rooms cannot cool down adequately - Partly no fly screens against mosquitoes - Apartments 8A and 8B insufficiently separated (only thin sliding door without sound insulation) and therefore in themselves only to be rented together; access from one unit to the other only possible via the balcony of the other flat - Room to the front facing the sun in flat 8A extremely warm, as there are no shutters - Dishwasher not working properly in flat 8A - No microwave, no oven - Poor kitchen equipment (old, partly incomplete) - Plug of kettle needs adapter for socket; however, adapter not available in flat - Toaster provided old, cable patched and inserts for removing toast get hot (risk of injury) - Existing grill toaster very weak, toasting takes a long time - Unclear competences between hosts Laura and Guiseppe - No mobile phone reception (with O2 network) - Internet failure (once, at night); in order to inform the host, we had to drive over 2 km to the next town due to lack of mobile phone reception; unacceptable in emergency situations.

The hosts were extremely kind and full of useful advices. The whole property and the surroundings are nicely fitted and taken care of.

There are many rules to follow printed all over the place, which might interfere with the vacation mode. There is no famous breathtaking scenaries surrounding the house. The price could be a bit lower, especially since no breakfast is included.
