After staying in a very disappointing 5-star hotel in Malta, I found this hotel to be so much better. I felt relaxed at all times and the staff were friendly and helpful. It was big enough to have lots of facilities but not too big. Our room had a great view over Funchal and a nice wee, private balcony to sit in. Eating breakfast outside every morning was lovely. Many people say it is too far from the main town but we walked up and down every day. Yes, it is up hill on the way home but if you are fairly fit, it is not a long walk.

The staff were very welcoming and helpful. good value for the place, super well located. I would recommend, also I love the swimming pool view. Very well served breakfast.
