Parador de Gijón

Overall, everything was wonderful. The room was comfortable and clean. The staff were very friendly. Our primary reason for staying here was for the parking, which worked out very well

I felt that the lunch we had at the restaurant was very underwhelming. I truly expected more. The Bacalao tasted like shoe leather. A day earlier, I ate the best Bacalao I’ve ever had in my life in the basque country. I had hoped that being on the coast, the seafood would have been Fran tastier.

Stop over location on the way to Santander ferry

AC not working; the bed was very small - 4 poster but narrow so with no AC and temps at 30C we both had a very restless nights sleep. Just stayed at 3 other Paradore Hotels over the last 10 days, and this was the most expensive and the least comfortable

La localización del parador próxima a una zona de concierto, razón por la que nos alojamos allí.

Está muy anticuado. Necesita renovación de mobiliario y mantenimiento de habitaciones (hueco del aire acondicionado con agujeros sin rematar, cables que salían del techo a ninguna parte...). La cama es demasiado dura. El personal de limpieza nos despertó temprano arreglando la habitación contigua: más que limpieza parecía que habia un obrero de la construcción al lado... Una cantidad de golpes increíbles.

The proximity to a large park (immediately adjacent) and to the beach (a ten-minute walk away) was delightful.

Our bathroom could have had better light. The staff in the restaurant seemed inefficient and the dinner we had was acceptable but not more.

Dieser Parador ist in die Jahre gekommen, abgestoßene Stellen im Mobiliar - die Gebrauchsspuren waren nicht zu übersehen. Die beiden Damen im Frühstücksraum hatten etwas gouvernanntiges an sich.
