Just blocks from the Hauptbahnhof in Bremen in a quiet neighborhood of beautiful homes. The rooms were lovely. The staff was more than willing to help. The breakfasts had everything you could want. What an amazing find. If you’re tired of corporate hotel chains and want old world style and comfort at a very reasonable price stay here

Das Hotel ist zentral gelegen, wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und durften unser Zimmer früherzeitig beziehen. Leider ist es an diesem Tag sehr heiß gewesen und es war unerträglich warm im Zimmer, da konnte auch der Standventilator keine Abhilfe schaffen. Leider war es zudem, trotz des geschlossenen Fensters, soooooo laut, dass ein Schlafen nicht möglich war. Das Frühstück war schön aufgedeckt und das Personal sehr freundlich.

Jätte bra hotell och frukost, den ända nackdel är att man kan höra tåget om fönstret är öppet (kan störa under sommartiden).

Basic level hotel with OK breakfast. Sound insulation was good that is required since hotel next to railway station. Good for sleeping but hotel is no way fancy nor have any interesting extras. So perfect hotel to accommodate you during business visit to Bremen.

Small hotel with a traditional European feel. Good for business travelers looking for a location close to the central train station. Clean and quiet with lots of character.

This historical hotel is well maintained beyond our expectations. The room is spacious and breakfast delicious. The location is close to convention center and train station. But there are issues to be noticed. There is no elevator/lift, though Hotels.com incorrectly says there is. It is hard to carry large luggage upstairs/downstairs. The driveway is very narrow and we noticed previous drivers scratched the side walls.

my room was located in the small residence two houses apart on the same street. Very nice room, all clean and cozy, modern bathroom, all well.

We drove in to Bremen on the autobahn, and as we approached the city there was a lot of road construction which delayed us over 2 hours of gridlock and very slow traffic. I had searched GPS in the car for a hotel to stay at, however there is a fine for driving in the no vehicles area of the old town and this hotel seemed in the heart of it. We did finally locate that hotel but it was on the edge of the old town and absolutely no place to park. I drove out a mile or so and then stopped to locate another place...the Hotel Residence came up and was only a mile away. The Hotel Residence is absolutely the the Best location- very quiet residential neighborhood, two blocks from the train station (for train travelers convenience) and 5 blocks from the old town. Best comfort- old former private residence with classy furniture and rooms. Best service- very friendly and helpful ladies run this place. Best price- very reasonable room price (114 euro) includes breakfast and off street parking. Best breakfast - absolutely the best breakfast we have ever had in Europe, so good and plentiful choices of delicacies hot and cold, served up in a beautiful breakfast room with window views and very nice decor. We really loved this place and the staff that run it. They even allowed us to leave our car parked in their lot until 5 pm on our check out day so we could stroll the old town some more. Please note: there is no air conditioning in this old building. We arrived on a very hot summer day, so the our room was too warm even opening the large windows didn't help. The staff here was wonderful and supplied us with a fan for the room which cooled it very nicely. I very highly recommend this place for a stay in Bremen. Cosy family hotel. What we missed when we booked our room was that there was no air condition. It’s was the hottest summer ever so it was quite necessary to have one. However, the staff gave us the ‘coolest’ room that was available so it was ok for a night stay. There’s a wide variety for breakfast and everything was freshly prepared. Unfortunately, since it’s summer and a very hot one ever and yet the beds were fitted with thick quilts. It’s enough with just flat sheets during summer months. Blankets can be available instead if needed. I mentioned this at checkout time. But the only reply I got was - we are crazy Germans. We do this the whole year round!!
