Hotel Meurice

Good enough for 1 night

The eggs for breakfast finished and were never refilled

The staff were very helpful, parking was available and food recommendations were excellent

The hotel did not have any aircon and rooms were very warm. There were very limited power sockets.

Very accessible from Le Shuttle Welcoming staff and service Secure car parking

Lovely maintained and furnished older building, nicely decorated. Very nice breakfast and dining room.

The room was pleasant, not too hot on a very hot day. Beds comfortable, breakfast was good if a little pricey, and we paid an extra 13 Euros per day for a car park in the basement, which proved very convenient. The hotel's location was excellent for the local town centre, shops, and restaurants. An added bonus for us was being able to see the lighthouse from the bedroom window. There is a pleasant courtyard that one can sit in and have a drink, and Parc Richelieu is only a block away.

The bathroom and the toilet were on different sides of the bedroom which was a little odd, but otherwise not an issue. Check in only from 16.00 was a small issue as we were there earlier.

All good and lovely friendly welcome from the receptionists. Room was nice and clean and everything required.
