Hotel De La Paix

Very quirky hotel. We loved the decor and the staff were all warm and friendly. The hotel was also very clean. We were in an inside room and only had a view of the hotel roof top, which was a bit grim, but we didn't spend much time in the room. Centrally located, in the town centre. Great for a city break.

The room was quite small and breakfast was basic, but OK. I'm vegan, so breakfast is always tricky for me.

The room appears to have been recently renovated in a very tasteful modern style. We especially liked the high quality bath fixtures, lighting, kitchenette, and comfort of the beds. The hotel staff were very courteous and helpful with local recommendations.

Unfortunately, we stayed here during the heat wave of late June 2026. The hotel seems to have spent generously on room renovations with a beautiful result, but did not add AC in the room. I'm not sure if it was because they were unable to in such an old building, but the discomfort did not match the overall quality of the room makeover. To the hotel's credit, they did provide us with two fans to help keep us cool, but they didn't do much. I would still recommend staying here, just not during hot weather.

Sa localisation. Le personnel sympathique et professionnel. Le confort du lit. Les moustiquaires aux fenêtre.

Un service blanchisserie serait le bienvenu et la proposition de ventilateurs d’appoint dans les chambres en cas de fortes chaleurs

La localisation est parfaite, l'accès en voiture n'est pas forcement le plus facile car piéton le samedi mais ce n'est qu'un détail. La chambre et les lits était parfait.

L'isolation du couloir et des portes de la chambre sont surement à améliorer mais pas catastrophique non plus.
