good location, near the train station

There is no elevator, you have to climb up to the 4th floor yourself. The towels are very old, not very pleasant smell in the building

Great for short stay as right by the train station

While it is very conveniently located next to Gare Nice Ville, according to one of my tour guides, it is never safe to stay next to a train station in France. The only positives I can speak of was the provision of an AC, running hot water in the shower and cleaning/fresh towels provided daily, though the towels appeared frayed.

I was shocked at the quality of this hotel. I did not feel safe staying here. There were no elevators, and my room was on the fourth floor. There was a persistent smell of sewer pipes in the bathroom. The man who worked at the front desk was unkind. I accept it was my fault in some ways as I did do my research properly, but this property should not be on booking.com. I would not recommend any female Americans traveling solo (or otherwise) to stay here.

No breakfast but they did take us in on late notice

The front attendant was very abrupt and impatient. His attitude to the my female family and other in the check in area was quite abrupt and unsettling. My double bed was on a lean and no bath towels were supplied. We had to walk 3 flights of stairs with our heavy luggage with no help offered. For over $250 per night we would not want that experience again.
