Hôtel Le National

A nice little hotel in the centre of Sete and not far from the station. It didn’t serve evening meals but breakfast was amazing. The hotel is close to restaurants. The staff are very helpful. The room was adequate and clean. The only minus was the number of sockets. I would recommend this hotel.

Hôtel Le National is an easy walk to and from the train station centrally located on Sète. I liked that it was just off a little street but still close to the business of a larger one. Also very convenient to walk into the old original part of town for delicious restaurants and gelato artisans as well as shopping! I was also inclined to walk to the top of Mount St Clair - not for the faint of heart - you can drive - breathtaking views.

Very disappointed , hotel quite shabby , I know it 2 star , and was a reasonable price but it was not value for money (it was chosen for the location being near the station as we were to have early train after a nights stay ) The hotel is quite scruffy in places and has areas of worn carpet The man on reception was odd and had great difficulty in checking us in , Providing us with information , receipts etc , even though we spoke French to him

Simple, roomy, and easily accessible. Friendly staff. Big rooms (for France)

The hotel was great & provided us with secure storage for our beloved cycles Needs to provide English Tv channel

Nice independent hotel in a quiet neighbourhood of Sete, close to the train station. Room was basic but nice and clean with a small balcony overlooking the street. Downtown is an easy walk. Reception was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast good value. Recommended.

Sete is a filthy town, the dog owners let their pets relieve themselves on the side walks and don't bother to clear it up. Actually the whole town needs a complete clean up. The hotel is very clean, but in my room the bathroom is open at the top, so the smell from the toilet is evident in the room. Breakfast: decent for a decent price. I afraid I will not be going to Sete in the near future.

Brilliant - excellent location, room very high standard, owner could not have been more helpful. Stay here when in Sete. Free street parking opposite hotel.

I chose Sete for a stopover whilst travelling west, and this hotel was ideal, being close to the station. The street is quiet at night, with the main town centre being a 5-10 minute walk away. The hotel was friendly and perfect for what I wanted. Sete itself was a pleasant surprise, with many busy restaurants, promenades along the water and a stiff but worthwhile climb up to the top of the hill. It was a time of festivals, including the 'School of Marine Jousting' spectacle, where the aim is to poke opponents so they lose balance and fall off a boat into the canal. It was mesmerisingly bizarre.

Great location on a quiet side street and easy walking distances to train station and downtown areas and bus if you need it. No parking and can be tricky but a large public parking lot 3 minute walk. Cool little jazz club on next street was a blast and a surprise. Breakfast was excellent. Erik (?) the manager was always friendly and patient with our poor French !! Wish they provided a coffee/tea maker for nighttime though. Great value for the $$.
